Hey you hale and hardy Winter warriors! Its hump-day and for the 2nd straight day, better to keep yours covered up cause its COLD!! I am now eating breakfast and having good warm coffee. Yesterday after work I had come walking to do. I felt pretty good so I just kept a good pace and kept on moving though the gusty winds that whipped though Phillly yesterday. I of course documented this walk to give the sensation of living in the Northeast in December for you West coast folk. When I got home, I warmed up ate and we watched a movie called Bright Star streaming from Netflix. It was about the John Keat's love of his life. It was pretty good and I managed not to fall asleep. We had seen a movie related to Virgina Wolf several days ago It was highbrow but not stuff and boring. Well, lets let Netflix describe it for you:
Critically acclaimed Australian filmmaker Jane Campion helms this drama detailing the passionate three-year romance between 19th-century Romantic poetJohn Keats (Ben Whishaw) -- who died tragically at age 25 -- and his great love and muse, Fanny Brawne (Abbie Cornish). Much of the story was inspired by Keats's poetry and the actual love letters the pair exchanged. Thomas Sangster, Paul Schneider and Kerry Fox co-star.
Stairway to Sewage?
Sometimes its good to see this kind of movie after a day at the Welfare Office where I will have at least 35 apts (mind you all will not show up but..)
Well, Phillies fans are celebrating the return of Cliff Lee to the pitching rotation. We all know that pitching wins championships and well lets let the Philadelphia Inquirer sports section describe the reaction
Phillies 2011 Rotation. Take that New York!!
SOMEWHERE YESTERDAY, the skies were painted a somber shade of deathly December gray, with the wind chill whipping toward zero - while a TV set blared depressing headlines about unending unemployment and foreign wars. That place was not Philadelphia, not yesterday. You could call it "Cliffmas" - tens of thousands of Philadelphians already have. But the reality is that the giddiness felt by many local residents over news that pitcher Cliff Lee, the hero of the 2009 pennant drive, is coming back to the Phillies for 2011 was so over-the-top that it left Christmas joy somewhere back in the chimney dust.
Well, after that feel-good story, its time to catch the bus. I may stay over in Philly tonite. Its hard to believe that Christmas is a week away. I guess its time to get motivated and start sending cards out. This is your breakfast blog for today. Enjoy the video
