Friday, April 26: Trip to Rijks Museum , Nap and Party
Today I woke up tired at 8:15 AM. I got up for my museum appointment at the Rijks Museum I had to walk about 10 to 13 minutes to the central station where all the trains and buses run through. I was running late, but Bob said it didn’t really matter that much. I brought my pass and my museum card with me. Man that museum is ginormous is so huge and really cool it’s got all kinds of 16th and 17th century all the way up to the present other furniture and accoutrements that they had some of the paintings in the early times are very realistic on site photographs. Then later on in the 19th and 20th century that were a lot more impressionist including van Gogh of course. I didn’t go to the top floor because by that time I was pretty good fatigue so I decided to wander about and head towards the butt, trolley stop and there are a couple souvenir stores and places to eat and I couldn’t decide so I just had a thing of fries and Coke and right near the van Gogh museum which I’ll have to go some other point. I had a nice walk. it was a really pleasant walk since it was sunny outside for the first time since I’ve been here well the sun was out often on two days ago, of course. Anyhow, with two side streets and more touristy area, but it was really cool side streets and alleys and just Opia of stimulation for the eyes and ears. I really enjoyed it took a lot of pictures and videos. I didn’t get back to Bob and Bob was resting so I decided it would be a good time for a nap and boy nap. I think I nap for about. I don’t know at least four hours and I need every single bit of it. I think I’m still catching up on sleep from the flight and just not going to bed early enough. Bob and I got caught up in this series about the Cold War and up to the present. It was really well done. It was on Netflix. I believe we finished the series . Anyhow, I got up and Bob was doing some of his work. It’s now 7:30 PM. We’re gonna be leaving in about 10 minutes to go to his friends house so I’m trying to catch up on all matter of blogging and pictures and stuff like that. It’s pretty nice outside. I sit in this chair that I like because it’s right next to the charging station and I get a nice view of the outdoors. my went to the party and it was pretty cool. People really nice and it was pretty cool crowd. It wasn’t a huge party. It was a pretty mellow adult party. After we stayed there till 10 we walked around the party was really gearing up outdoors. we ran into this one section they have different bands playing in this one section it was just out of control. It was dancing to Euro music and a big ass mural mural but edifice of the king and his wife and had streamers and fireworks and people just going nuts like it was 1999 and New Year’s and shit , we got into it. We stayed up pretty damn late. It was a good time. It was like but I’m taking it all in. I recorded it and get it down to seven minutes. I have a total of at least 25 minutes, but I can’t put that on any kind of YouTube and nobody’s gonna listen to A for 25 minutes, but it was an experience. I won’t forget anytime soon.

Thursday, April 25: 1st Full Day in Amsterdam
I woke up this morning after sleeping like a baby which I really
needed after yesterday. That bed has a nice firm mattress and I was lucky to Bob computer control
center lights went off and I was able
to sleep. I got up at 8 AM or 8:15 AM so I could get ready to eat breakfast take a shower and go to the Anne Frank house they
schedule my appointment. My appointment was scheduled for 10 AM, it’s about 12 minute walk from Bob
to the Anne Frank house. It’s very convenient for
sure On the way there, i’m at two nice women from Richmond, Virginia. Google maps had me very confused which turn I take and I just followed them to the place. I got there on time
and I hung out with them while in the museum and oh my God that is the detail is kind of hard to fathom.is the original place where she had for two years with
her family and friends and they had all the diaries and short stories
that she wrote and the experiences while she was hiding. It’s really hard to fathom. You
just have to go there. Anyhow, I got back in. Bob had to take care of some
business so I caught up with my blogging. Specifically yesterday‘s
blog posting. I then talked to Larry and also talked to Mary by
voice and by video WhatsApp works. And I took a walk and he got an extra key
from one of his friends so I have a copy of the key in the house
which God forbid if I lose would cost €100, don’t plan to do that. We’re going
to go to 3️⃣ museums today. The first one we visited was called the
Embassy of the Free Mind. That was really, very interesting. I must say. The
second meeting we went to was called Museum of the canals. It
explored the history of Amsterdam and how the canals were conceived, and how the city kept growing and growing, and making rings around the center of the city.
Pretty amazing engineering that went on in creating the city. They had to pile drive, massive polls into the ground, practically by hand, like 30 guys had to use
this machine to bang the wood into the ground. It’s engineering
and I can’t really understand or conceive at this point. Really cool multimedia
to go along with it, including virtual people living inside
a house from back in the day and it looked really real. There were AI and virtual
reality can really enhance inexperience. It truly is a double
edge short all that technology that’s for sure. oh news of reality The New York Supreme Court over through
Harvey Weinstein‘s conviction since they brought up evidence from other crimes or other things he did that weren’t
related to the conviction. Now some of Trump’s cronies want to use that as a way of getting Trump from under a convection. Amazing how wealthy people can just get away with stuff or technicalities what you call it by the best lawyers in town . It’s amazing when you go away all the weird stuff that goes on just for being away. It’s just how it feels mentally

Wednesday, April 24: Stockholm, to Amsterdam
I arrived at Stockholm and the process was pretty smooth. I
got through customs and border security pretty smoothly. It’s now 7:30 PM for some reason my phone has not converted automatically to their time which is six
hours ahead so my plane starts boarding in 10 minutes, but I was able to find, a water station and also a plug-in station where I could
plug in
my USB right into the wall, which is pretty convenient because they don’t have them in the airport the United States that I know of. Well, that connecting flight I was pretty miserable. The
guy in front of me acted like an entitled boomer in the worst variety
kept banging the chair took up all the space in there luggage area and I just hit
a wall where I was just I felt like the cabin pressure was high, but
I was holding on… Anyway, once I landed, I thought I could just walk out somewhere
catch the train but no, I just kept walking and walking and walking
and walking out how to get the Sim to work. I know it now works. I can get
the Internet, Facebook and Google Maps but no texting or phone
calls so oh well , I finally found a place to get coffee next to the Starbucks. I was going to
go to Starbucks but I decided to go to a place it’s local so I’m
waiting for Bob who said he could pick me up 11:07 AM Amsterdam time. Well, Bob found out there was 5 Starbucks at the airport so he found me and we talked a little bit and then we walked
a little bit more to the train which took us to a nice part of the town and then we took a ferry ride, which is really nice
Next he took me to
the Amsterdam museum and showed
me around town. We saw this huge old shipyard which is now on Arness colony
and they have these things that are literally called pisswarres.
I could literally piss outside its clothes but you just piss on the sidewalk. It’s just one of the weirdest things I ever experienced.
It was really weird. I mean I did it, but I could look through little holes and look at people as on pissing which is blowing let’s put it that way. Anyway, I was tired
, but I persevered and had a little coffee to help me. I was running on adrenaline.Anyhow , one thing I noticed is that the there are bikes everywhere and
yes I heard about that everyone has but they are really aggressive and you have to keep your eyes open. You’ll get run over by bikes. I gotta be really careful
not stare at my phone. Anyhow, the weather is really
changeable. It goes one minute. It’s got sunshine. Next minute starts to rain. We even
had hail for a little while , but then it stops so it’s not torrential rain.
It’s just periodic off it on again. This is the only place I’ve seen where it looks really
it. we also went to the recently opened holocaust museum here in
Amsterdam. It’s very powerful and it’s minimalism and the spells a word in
Hebrew the way it’s designed. Each little brick is an even of
person who is killed by the Nazis in Amsterdam by itself it’s a lot of people
holy shit. It’s a lot of people, speaking of which Lisa got me a ticket
today and Frank. From what I’m told it’s hard to get there so I’m going there tomorrow at 10 AM.
I have a museum card that I paid for the Bob got me so it’s a really useful thing to have here in Amsterdam and it will also be a wonderfulsouvenir
when I get back. I’m still also get a Transit card but hasn’t arrived in the mail yet. Bob broke them back and asked if it was on its way so it’s all cool. You just use a credit card to get on the trains.
