This Weekend and the Week Ahead

Storefront Bridgeton NJ
Simone and Oggie 1-15
This past weekend was ok by most standards pretty  good for sure. I did some errands and a cool neighbor figured why one of the outlets went all funky. Saturday I took an online survey. That was a chore but its done so can't complain too much. It was cold but not as bad as it way several days ago. Well I read in the Phila Inquirer that it will snow an inch then turn to rain:
Monday Night Cloudy...snow...mainly after midnight. Snow accumulation around an inch. Lows in the mid 20s. East winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 90 percent. rain Tuesday Rain. Freezing rain in the morning. Highs in the upper 30s. Northeast winds around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation 90 percent.   Tuesday Night Cloudy. Rain likely...mainly in the evening.

Helping with Propane Heater 1-16
Tomorrow its supposed to ok. I have off from work for Martin Luther King Day.
Its now tomorrow, Monday January 17th. Tom  Corbett officaly takes office in Harrisburg. I am sure us state employee are big target for him. Of course he and the Legislature will not cut their salaries and benefits, they are the elite. Time will tell.
As for today, I have to get a fitting for the propane heater in the back studio. If Lowes or Home Depot do not have it, I will have to find it at a plumbing supply store in Vineland. Its located at Grape and the Blvd. Umm.
Online Job Application with personality questions
Did you know that its illegal to sell cars and motorcycles in New Jersey?? Well there is a bill to LEGALIZE the sale of motorcycles ONLY in this state. It just cleared the NJ Assembly.  Its silly that in this day and age there is a state LAW against selling autos.  What do you think?
I applied for a part-time job on the store computer at Family Dollar. They are going to do a criminal background check and a credit check. Then they ask these personality test questions. I mean this is for a simple clerk position. It felt somewhat demeaning to be going though all this. One question that is on this photograph is "You don't believe what people say." I mean no wonder folks are upset. Employers have the right to demean job applicants and since we are in a great recession, folks will take it. The politicians are too busy cutting budgets for average folks and padding their own nests. Its now 10:30am now. Time to bring dogs downstairs and outside and I need to eat and have the morning coffee.

Mark, it isn't illegal to sell cars and motorcycles in New Jersey.

NJ has a blue law against selling motor vehicles, including motorcycles on Sundays.

Motorcycle dealers are losing business because people are going to DE and across state lines to buy their bikes on their days off, i.e. Sundays.

You might ask why are cars not included int his blue law repeal? Believe it or not, the car dealers do not want it repealed.

Car sales is high pressure. As it stands, all dealers have one day off a week. If it becomes legal, then every car dealer will have to open on Sunday whether they want to or not. why? If they are not open, their competition will be open. They will lose sales.

It seems that car buyers are not as likely to cross state lines to buy a car as bikers are. Most car owners want to be close to the servicing dealer.
