This morning, I woke up at the Dorchester. With the looming septic cuts starting today, August 24 I figured I need to get up a little earlier and make sure I get to meet Alice and Hannah
on time at 10:30 visiting mom. Well, I ended up catching the 42 forgetting that it doesn’t go to 69th St. so I caught it to 34th St. walked from Walnut to market and caught the L and then
caught the 111 bus which was 15 minutes late. By the time I got to the Riddle village, Alice and Hannah were already there talking to mom. Mom was in really good spirits with them being there.
They visited the last two days beforehand and they plan to visit tomorrow sometime. It just shows it mom really likes her visits which I guess makes a lot of sense. Anyhow we hung out. We
had a nice time And then they had to go to meet Mike at Harv Degrasse Maryland. Mike and Mary agreed to drive up that far to meet Alice. Alice ain’t going to go to Long Beach Island
and run into Dave and Debbie. Would’ve been a great day to go, but really couldn’t do it. There would be no way I’d get back. Anyway, I went back to my place. I was fortunate. I caught
a trolley instead of a bus out of downtown media where Alice dropped me off. I got a coffee from the Ocean City coffee company And the trolley got me to Upper Darby. I said hello to Pat, then
I puttered around the house and took a nap. I then got up around three and took the train down to Mike’s place. Mike was a little depressed and kind of battling a lot. And it was a good thing
I came over I think needed to be straightened out, etc. so it’s now 5 o’clock. Phillies managed to win their game 3–2 they almost blew the save for Ranger Suarez who pissed a really
good game. Mike did his walk back-and-forth from the apartment and we had to get a reading on his heart button pillow device. It wasn’t that bad. We did mark off the sheet hopefully that will
help. It’s somewhat hard for him than an Uber on it. I then did a load of laundry and worked a little bit past 7 PM but I was all right. I got home and was really hungry so I stopped at CVS
beforehand and got drinking chips and had some pasta. I don’t have that much in the house. I just finished off the Gatorade and there’s no super coffees listed there so when I get paid
sometime next week I’m gonna do some ordering at Mike’s and have some supplies at home.

Sunday August 24: SEPTA Reckoning, Visiting Mom, Working for Mike
Saturday, August 23, 2025
Saturday, August 23: Yoga, Trip to West Philly
After a glorious night of sleeping until 11:30 AM, I got up and got some coffee and Mary made a delicious bacon and egg and with slice of toasted bread which was delicious. I got a message that Alice can meet me at Riddle Village
to see mom tomorrow at 10:30 AM so I called the Cleaning person and told her that she could come next week August 29 and she agreed. I was also approved to work at Mike’s for three hours from 4 to 7 PM they were desperate
didn’t have anybody for him. Made a nice easy-going breakfast and talked for a while. Next thing you know it it’s 3:28 PM and we’re heading to
l
Even’s 4 o’clock 90 minute Hot Yoga class. We do plan to go to West philly to explore a little bit after afterwards. I went to Evan’s class and it was very good. It was pretty warm. I guess
I was just really thirsty, but it was a good class. I thought my bounce was a little bit better today. Afterwards, we hung out and talked to Evan for a bit then as we were walking back to
Mary’s the naked bike ride came storming through right now square it was 2/3 guys. There are a lot of bike riders that’s for sure and I took a lot of videos of that. That was funny. Then we went
back dropped off her stuff put in a load of laundry took a bus ride to West Philly after waiting 25 minutes for the 21 bus to come by. Both of us were that was a good idea to offer for 40th St. and
look how it’s changed a lot and boys have changed a lot. They made a fancy McDonald’s in the corner of 40th and Walnut. Well, we did a lot of walking. We walked to 44th and
Sansom where I used to live 49th and Locust where I used to live. By the way, the house looks empty and it’s not for sale. Walked by where Mary used to live on Farragut Street. That
house was gigantic oh right I forgot to mention we ate Indian buffet and oh my God the price is totally much more expensive than it used to be. It is about 25 to 26 bucks. Gotta remember
when it was 12 bucks maybe I’m old and shit but everything is just a lot more expensive. It’s becoming more obvious every day Anyhow I even walked by my old chiropractor’s
office. It’s still a chiropractic office but owned by someone else and it still looks just funky and ghetto is it ever did. Next time I think I wanna do the
same tour but in the daytime because it was hard to see stuff at times. We had a good time though it was a fun diversion from the normal weekend activities.Tomorrow I go visit mom and meet
Alice. Also the massive septic cut start tomorrow August 24. It’s really sad I couldn’t do anything about it. It is really amazing how much West philly has changed and how in some ways it hasn’t
changed at all. Seen the old 233 S. 49th St. all overgrown and unoccupied. It’s kind of weird looking. We ended up looking up on realtor.com bill
place at 49th St. And I want to Millville’s for sale for over 200 grand and the one on 49th St. is not for sale but it’s worth 300 and something grand. Next time we do this, I wanna do it during the day because I get better pictures during the daytimeA
