Vote Quinn, Shannon AND Derella on May 12

Today is the City Commission Forum sponsored by the Millville Chamber of Commerce. It will be held at the Millville Senior High School at 6;30. I will be there with camera in hand to witness the proceedings. I hope that you all will show up and see for yourself who the most qualified candidates are. I strongly support Jim Quinn, Tim Shannon and Joe Derella. They have shown the steady leadership that Millville needs to continue the slow and steady progress that our city has made. They have made investments in our downtown and city neighborhoods that were neglected. A city can not move forward if it lets its core of commerce and center city neighborhoods rot. We do not want to be a doughnut city like Detroit with its nice ring suburbs and its "hole" of a downtown. The current commission has made bold moves to move Millville forward. Jim Quinn is a great ambassador for our city and shows his pride and stewardship. I read in the Daily Journal that a green energy business is considering a move her just becouse Mayor Quinn told of the good things that the city is doing. Tim Shannon is an honest proud resident of Millville. He takes the time to serve and volunteer for all kinds of civic activities for the citizens of Millville. As the Commissioner of fun, Tim has shown leadership and enthusiasm. When the Friends of Millville cleaned up a littered lot in Center City, he came out and volunteered his time out on a hot day to make it a success.
Joe Derella has shown a businessman's acumen as Commissioner of revenue and finance. This position has got to be the toughest with all the scrutiny on city spending. He has a vast grip on the complexities of city finance. Under his guidance, the current Commission is not dependent on a distressed cities grant. In other words, the city is on sounder financial footing.
They have all shown a can-do attitude as opposed to the can't-do anything that some of their strongest opponents have. This can do spirit told us that Millville is a city with a future and why we moved here almost six years ago. In closing the three gentlemen have EARNED re-election.

Oh I know my "fans" are gonna fill up my comments. That is cool but please state positions if you agree or disagree. No personal comments Ok??

The noise today destroyed any chance of "your" candidates getting my vote. Shannon, Quinn and Derella don't believe there is a noise problem. I, and many other Millvillians, disagree.

Tim might want to rethink running. If he gets elected, he could have a serious problem. The State just passed a law that all elected officials have to submit to a drug test. Anyone who thinks the bridge is a wonderful thing must be under the influence.

All the candidates said something must be done about the noise. No one has suggested anything specific. The Millville First and other opposition candidates are in the worst position to reach an agreement with the Motorsports Park, given the vindictiveness with which they have gone after them on the noise issue, the tax abatement issue, etc. The Motorsports Park people are never going to play ball with the likes of Van Hook or Teseroni or Sooy. If any of those gets into office, I guarantee they will not pursue the noise issue with any energy or success. The people who are hearing the noise are being duped. Worst case scenario, the city ends up in litigation with the Park. But then, that seems to be Millville First's major means of getting things done, at the taxpayer's expense.

Only Vanaman has spoken out strongly against the noise at Commission meetings. The other three have just paid lip service. Those three constitute a majority on the Commission and could have done something by now. They have not.

I agree the noise problem needs to be addressed. On the other hand casting dispersions and making attacks aint the way to do it.
I think the bridge is a fine idea. It was paid with a state grant (i.e not from our local taxes). It will be nicer to cross the river without cars zooming by.

William Wilson, you are misinformed. $374,000.00 came directly from local taxes, which have been borrowed. And how safe will you feel when you get half way across the footbridge, see a couple of young hoodlums coming your way? So you decide to turn around and go back the way you came from and realize that a couple of hoodlums have cutoff your retreat?

Raise property taxes in certain areas and let the hoodlums and slumdwellers dwell elsewhere. Atlantic City and Camden have plenty of vacant houses they can live in.

Good day, sun shines!
There have were times of hardship when I didn't know about opportunities of getting high yields on investments. I was a dump and downright pessimistic person.
I have never thought that there weren't any need in big initial investment.
Now, I feel good, I begin take up real money.
It's all about how to choose a correct partner who utilizes your money in a right way - that is incorporate it in real deals, parts and divides the income with me.

You may get interested, if there are such firms? I have to tell the truth, YES, there are. Please get to know about one of them:
