Saturday, November 15: Trip to Havre de Grace Maryland

Good morning. Today is Saturday. We are hitting mid November already which is hard to believe. Mayor and I got up at 8:30 AM. We decided

we’d get bananas and split a half bagel over at the heart café. That was a really good idea cause when we got the heart café I was chowing down on my half of the bagel. It was with cream cheese. It

was very good. Coffee was pretty good too. We then took Uber to the Rental Car Pl. and that was pretty efficient. We then drove on down to Degrasse Maryland and it’s very pretty here. we’re just arrived

at McGregor‘s restaurant. We arrived and parked and ran into Mike and Mary as they were arriving so we made pretty good time. This place has a

pub side in a restaurant side. It’s very unique. I must say it’s 11:52 AM. well, weird at the place and it was very good. I had a crabcake sandwich. Mary had something else. It’s right on the water. Then

we went to the Havre de Grace lighthouse, which was pretty scenic. I must say. They have these two dudes playing bagpipes she heard bat bagpipes in the background and we found out where they were

and I took some videos of them playing bagpipes. After we pulled around there, we went to a little cool little coffee shop called Concord point Coffee. This place is pretty chill and we were lucky. We found

a parking spot really close. Well, we saw Mike and Mary pull up right when we’ve pulled up. The place was pretty nice. It had seafood all kinds of different kinds of food. I had a crabcake sandwich

which I must say was pretty good. Everyone else liked their food as well. The weight staff were really attentive and we split our bill between both

couples. Isn’t that cool as crap? Anyway, after we did that, we decide to take a walk on the docks and the Concord point lighthouse. It’s right along the Chesapeake Bay, which this town of Havre de Grace

is located. We walked around the dock for a while and then we decided to check out some stores in the downtown area. It’s very quaint and they had some

interesting stores for bric-a-brac and what not. This last year we went into was really cool. They had comic books and old-time magazines from every decade from the 1950s to present. It was really cool. They

had landed fresh NAV and Nixon and Henry Kissinger are people like that. A lot about the Vietnam war. And do you remember this term sociobiology that was a new word in the 70s. I remember that

cover from when I was a kid cause my parents subscribed to Thai magazine and I used to like to read it. Anyway, back to the present after we hung out there

for a while we sang and danced. No actually we didn’t do that. We’re not in a play or or a musical. It was cloudy, but the weather was not that cold

compared to what it was last Monday. I think we all had a really nice time. Oh I forgot to mention, you went to a coffee shop, which was really chill and they had good coffee and we relaxed

and hung out for a while there. Mike and Mary, Mary and myself all decided we’d head out before it got dark so that’s what we did. We headed out and took the scenic route through Route one

all the way back and return the car to 30th St., Station. That’s the best thing to do to just get rid of the car right away. We also saw the World War II memorial for all the people Pennsylvania railroad employees that were killed during World War II was about 1300 people. I never taken any notice of the memorial but it’s been there the whole time. 30th St. has a shit load of scaffolding up as they’re trying to clean up the building. We returned the rental car and decided we’d walk home and we noticed some interesting things around town. It was pretty busy on Sansom Street. We then came back and posted photos on Facebook. Now we’re going to order some food because both of us are really hungry and when you’re really hungry, there’s nothing like food.
