Saturday, June 3: Trip to Allentown and Danielsville, PA

Hello kids today is Saturday. It is Kasten.

 I got up around 8:30 AM washed dishes ate breakfast took a shower. 

I then headed on out to the L duty truck on down to 30th St. and then 

catch the airport train. The market Frankford line one time, but apparently nothing else wise. Airport dreams 11 

minutes late which is only a minor convenience And then got to the 

rental place and there’s a huge ass line. It wasn’t horrible when I got there but it got really bad after 

I was waiting. I have a 1030 rental and it is now 1133. I need to rent

 a cars earlier , the only thing I can say is I got a good deal I’m still waiting for my Kia and it is now 11:35 PM. I think they finally  got it through the car wash I think I might finally be getting it. Well I got the car and then then

 I went to Wes‘s house and he gave me the easy pass. There was one minor complication. I forgot to refill the gas back in the car so they’re going to hose me 

good on that but anyhow, I drove up downtown. It was a smooth ride and met up with colleen. That was really fun

. It was nice. We first went to the art museum and then we went to 



a sports bar and eat outside and I had a delicious Turkey burger, which had guac all over it was delicious. After that we talked for a bit and went back to her place and 

I charged up my phone. And then had to take care of some personal business. I decided to call an old friend who I haven’t seen in about I don’t know eight years pretty  close to 7 years so I 

called to see if they were free and they were so I went up to  Danielsville and that was fun. Got a lot of laughs. We reminisced about South by SXSW in Austin Texas. Good times we had in 1992 and 1993 
when I went with TC and her sisters I returned the car back this .evening because I don’t want to have to get rup at the crack of dawn and drive through the airport.  So it’s now 9:05 PM 

in the airport trains coming at 9:10. I did manage to catch the train on time and it wasn’t late which was a good thing. The airport train took me to 30th St. It’s now 9:42 PM and I’m 

waiting for the Market Frankford trying to show up. I’m glad that my lunch was really filling because I’m not going to have time to sit and eat before I 

got to talk on the phone at 10 PM or so I am really glad though that got rid of the car so I don’t have to worry about it tomorrow morning. I can sleep in long

 enough to get to downtown media by 11:30 AM. I should sleep well it’s been a long ass day, but a pretty day overall. I just love seeing the old photos from SXSW March 1993. There 
were some good times that’s for sure I went to your earlier as well in 1992. I took a couple of pictures of that time which was really fun. I should do this 

on Saturday more often. Take a yoga break and visit people I never see. I’m 

not forever in this world and I’m still healthy enough to be able to 

do the traveling and stuff, so why not why the hell retire you know. As they say you know what I’m saying

? You know what I’m saying anyhow, tomorrow in Visiting

 mom and going to Ardmore the usual Sunday fair.

Friday, June 2: Nurse Visits Mike. It’s Hot

Today is Friday is it really yes it is. I got up today late I was really goddamn

 exhausted and I think I’m catching some kind of little cold because my throat feels a little funny and you know that kind of thing. I haven’t decided whether I’m gonna do yoga 



or not but I brought my clothes in case I feel more peppy. Today is warm. It’s the warmest day of the year thus far, it’s supposed to hit 90° but there’s no heat wave because it’ll be back to 

normal tomorrow anyhow I got there about half hour late and that means if I’m gonna go to Yoga just go to the 530. 5:30 PM class. Anyhow, the nurse came over and she was extremely

competent and helpful. She’s going to hook up Mike’s place to the Philadelphia corporation for aging and get somebody over there to clean the apartment. I’m 
hoping they can make it a regular thing 

she’s also  going to make sure that they know that I am out and if Mike needs somebody and they start giving her in the bullshit. They can’t find anybody she’ll advocate for him so that was a really big step today. After that I put in a load of laundry and then had some lunch and Limbo came over and said he would repaint the room all Mike is in surgery. and then had some lunch and Limbo came over and said he would repaint the room all Mike was in surgery 

Michael’s getting that settled out. It’s less than two weeks away. He also agreed to clock some holes that

 were possibly causing the mice infestation, developed really bad gas, that was not fun. I hung out at Mike’s for much longer than normal. I decided not to go to the 5 o’clock class after all because I think my body’s

 telling me I need a break. Just when I was about to go home I realized I forgot

 to pick up his 
laundry so  I got to go walk all the way back to Mike’s and pick up his laundry. I totally forgot about it. 

Thursday, June 1: Debt Ceiling Approved and Busy

Happy June to one and all. May went by really really fast just think in two weeks. I’ll be ready to fly out to California for two weeks. I just said something redundant deny. Anyhow, I showed up a little

 bit late and mediately did an errand for Mike and we then took a walk as well. I wanted to take a 

walk because it feels like it was going to get warmer than it has been. We’re now hitting late spring early summer

 weather where it’s hitting the 80s. The humidity hasn’t quite gotten

 bad yet which is nice. It’s a little more humid than it has been but I really can’t 

complain. I think I will definitely not be wearing my coat tomorrow because supposed to 



hit 90° tomorrow. Anyway, I did an errand couple errands for Mike and And got my double dose of BuSpar that
I’m going to take which is supposed 

to mitigate the anxiety and mitigate my sexual dysfunction stuff that the Zoloft

 causes. Who knows. They say it’s gonna take couple weeks for it to take affect it’s not like the opioid drug

 to take you right away so that’s fine. I’ve been on it for a while

 so I don’t see a big difference but every little bit helps these days. Talked on the phone with two people one

 person twice , I haven’t been in the mood to really 
blog and really get into the blogging like I used to. It’s days like this that make me feel tired of Blogging. It’s a 7:14 PM and just finished 2 classes and now 

I’m heading up to Fairmount to go to this meeting that starts around 8:15 PM. I was pretty damn thirsty. My 🪫 ran out that
I charged up to about 20% which should get me to the meeting and 

then I’ll have to find a charger. They’re in charge the phone. Class is pretty good I sweated a lot . The Senate 



voted by 63 to 36 to approve the debt ceiling increase that was just 3 votes more than they needed.  It’s unbelievable that they  
avoided the debt ceiling and we won’t have to deal with it for two years and God, hope the Democrats control things otherwise 2025 is going to be a complete shit show.
