Thursday June 26:Parsonage-Turner Syndrome

I had to get up early because I’m having an EMG test conducted. It’s in Jefferson Hospital land which means I have to go to 25 S.9th St. Plenty of time but

the 17 bus to show six minutes early in the elevator took forever to catch cause everybody’s leaving for work. Some woman on the seventh floor was looking at her phone
 and I yelled
at “seventh floor.“ She called the elevator I ended up missing the bus and walking at chestnut Street. Fortunately the bus came fairly quickly. I just called back fairly quickly for the EMT appointment. They did
some motion test. She took a look at my wing scapula and this test has two parts some kind of nerve diode thing and then the acupuncture needles. This is the

second part. I just finished the EMG. It was pretty intense. Yes I have nerve damage on both sides. The left side. I have it on my rotator cuff, on my right side.

I have it near my scapula. They don’t know if the nerves will recover or not. They have no idea there’s nothing they can really do about it. I have this syndrome called Parsonage Turner syndrome. Yeah, I feel pretty beat

up right now but at least I know what I have just do PT till I’m dead, I guess. Anyhow, I rested afterwards. I walked all the way back and I lied down to Mike’s bed for a minute

looked at TikTok videos and drank some super coffee to offer me blessed relief. I talked with Mary and Mike. Mike is definitely getting out of the hospital

today around 1 o’clock. Mary then came over to Mike’s place and we did some further

organizing and cleaning before you got home. We put the bookshelf

where the clothing was and put the clothing where the bookshop bookshelf

was right behind Mike so he can grab his own clothes. We then talk

to Mike for a while. Mary and I walked back to her place and I picked up my yoga
clothes and walked all the way back to

Mike’s to sign out by 3:30 PM.  Well, I went to class and Lupe was teaching.

This is one week since I came to my first class and loopy taught it. I did

my usual, not using my arms and shoulders routine. I’m starting to routine

it, but it still feels different. Afterwards, we hung out at the studio

and we talked to Evan. He’s going away to perform out in California. So he’ll

be gone the entire month of July. I went to my CODA meeting
and it was pretty well attended. I must say. We went over the sixth tradition. Period anyhow I stayed for the business meeting that lasted

an hour. It’s way too long, but stuff got passed and taken care of which was good I then took the 49 bus back
