Friday, June 20: Choir rehearsal in NYC

This morning Mary &  I got up pretty early and hung out for a while and then she made me some bacon and eggs, which were quite tasty. They were

very very tasty for sure. after eating breakfast, I got the Uber to 30th St. station got there in plenty of time for the train. There was a long ass line to get on the train.

I got some coffee and some really nice food to save my place in line train was 10 minutes late, but it didn’t really matter. I got my own seat. Didn’t

have to sit with anybody rested my left shoulder, cause it was sore and finished up yesterday‘s blog posting ran some people from

choir as they were boarding the train ride went smoothly. I made it a point to follow them to intercontinental hotel, which is straight up eighth Ave from Penn Station. Pretty big hotel

when we arrive there and walk down eighth Street we found the place work rehearsing

which is downstairs from the hotel. We decided we had about

an hour or 40 minutes exactly did you get something to eat around the corner? I got a chicken Shawarma and they got food at this steak shack or shack shake

whatever it’s called. This warm is good and messy diet Pepsi doesn’t exist in this corner of Manhattan so I’ll have to get some Diet Coke or a regular Pepsi I

am really hungry   because the coffee I had  tasted so gross by the end of the time I was drinking it. Anyway, rehearsal is pretty intense. This guy does these

hand motions to indicate the different notes to sing like they do in the sound of music has a fist one has a straightened out hand one has a thumbs down. I didn’t know

what it was kind of weird. But he was half decent. You dressed up all the suit and

stuff. My left shoulder was having a little bouts of pain. I decide instead

of taking train I walk down seventh Street all the way down to 34th St. I was around 54th St. So I went through Time Square took a picture of the site and

found out the place were sleeping over tomorrow night as compared to where I was that’s on fifth Avenue I was on eighth Avenue and seventh Avenue. I

got to look at Carnegie Hall. I got to the Amtrak station really low on battery desperate looking for an outlet. There is an  Amtrak lounge but it’s the furthest

thing away from the tracks, Its nice cause they don’t have one in Philly. That’s for sure. This looks like a pretty brand new train hub here. I try to do recognizance

for marrying myself, but I would need two days in New York to get everything straightened out, but I did take some videos.

I found out Mike’s in the hospital again. I did find an outlet right next to a little coffee shop that’s closing up and is now 6:25 PM

my train boards in about 10 minutes. I’m up to 26% so I’m going to ease my
way over. I ran into somebody

who is also in choir who’s commuting all three days. Or trade right about
25 minutes late. I ended up falling asleep

on the train. I got a couple good shots of Trenton and other things. Train stopped at Cornwall’s Heights, Trenton and North Philly
before

hitting 30th St. station it’s now 8:21 PM will probably park the train around 8:30 PM. Oh, I got back
to the Dorchester after Catching the trolley

in 19th and market from 30th and market. We decided to watch Jaws

since it was 50th anniversary the movie came out. Got that before to watch that

I forgot some of the scenes in there that movie is definitely historic movie really hit the American mind hard. I
remember going to Bermuda right after the movie came out with the Boy Scouts. One guy was not gonna be able to go because his mom

was worried he’d be eaten by sharks in the cove that you were staying at. It turns out there was no problem
with sharks while we’re there. Tomorrow
Wes is giving us a ride trip all tomorrow and hang out for Mike 60th birthday party and then we’re

supposed to catch the 6 o’clock train from from Baltimore to Manhattan and

get to POD 51 hotel, which is supposed to be pretty close to Carnegie Hall. Mary is gonna have a lot of time to kill my rehearsals at 10:30 and the show starts at 2:00 PM tomorrow.
