DPW Celebrates new Technology

Welcome to the OIM Web
Office Of Income Maintenance

Deputy Secretary Linda Blanchette, on behalf of OIM Operations, DAPS and BIS, recently accepted the award for the 2008 ISM Excellence in Human Services Technology in the Innovation in Service Delivery category. This prestigious award acknowledges the incredible innovation of our Workload Dashboard (WLD) tool. Due to the wonderful efforts of our WLD pilot counties, Clearfield and Lackawanna CAOs, in addition to all of the counties who are now using WLD, Workload Dashboard has proven to be a valuable case management tool. As Frank Muraca, IMCW Supervisor and County Trainer for the Lackawanna CAO says, “WLD is one of the most intuitive systems I have ever used. Displaying all of the work items in one place allows workers to prioritize and take control of their caseloads. In my opinion, WLD has improved our business practices in several key areas such as application timeliness, IEVS and alerts processing, customer service center tickets, as well as scanning and imaging of customer’s documentation.” Leona Garris, Executive Director of the Elk CAO loves the IEVS portion of WLD, “It is much easier to determine what needs to be handled right away by showing the overdue hits separately. That is so much easier than sorting through pages of IEVS to find the old ones.” Staff in Montour County reported that they like all of their pending work displayed in one location. Mark Rush, Executive Director of the Fayette CAO says it best, “I think that WLD is everything that it was promised to be. It is a tool that transcends the entire work force (management, supervisors, IMCW’s and Clerical) and provides everyone a means of performing his or her duties in a more organized and efficient manner.” We are excited to hear CAO staff embrace our latest technology and we are proud of the national recognition OIM has received for Workload Dashboard.
Workload Dashboard will be coming to your CAO soon. Click here to see the latest rollout schedule.

Mark,
It sounds like a great system. What Dept. do you work for that utilizes it? I thought you were local?

Seeing as how I work in the IT industry, it's always fascinating to see technology evolve!

Our technology has been challenged by a complex medical assistance plan that our previous Gov. Tom Corbett had passed. it tends to run a bit slow and crashes at times.
