Thursday, January 15: Off to Cozumel Mexico!🇲🇽

What the alarm went off at 6:30 AM and we decided that we would sleep a little more. Byron told us we didn’t need to come in three hours early

cause there’s not that much traveling going on this time of year. So we got up, ate our breakfast sandwiches and had our coffee. We then called Lyft Since they were cheaper than Uber, they had a 20% sale. We

got the airport and went through TSA pre-at terminal C Since that’s where the TSA pre-wash. The pre-went really really fast. I had to drink my

coffee real fast. We arrived with plenty of time to spare. I’m gonna run into Linda and Dave soon. It’s now 9:02 AM flight leaves at 10:30 AM. Well,

we met this really nice couple. One guy is a distinguished professor in University of Delaware and he’s they were talking about Uzbekistan, which is just really great for tourism. They just opened up the tourism. Wouldn’t it be great if Mary and I went to use Pakistan that would be a total like cool not even Wes LaBlanc has gone to Kurdistan

Anyhow, we’re flying along and I realized I need charging on my phone and none of the chargers work. I even went to Linda and Dave seat on the

airline and their chargers don’t work and the charger in the bathroom some kind of international 110 V bullshit plug and I did not bring one of those converters. I’m hoping since it’s a tourist trap they have regular

connections for phones and shit. Anyhow, all the sunscreen we bought was bogus we didn’t read close to the instructions not allowed to use

sunscreen so we have to buy some like long sleeve shirts to protect ourselves from the sun. Oh well. Well, we arrived on time and then we caught

the ADO bus. It’s pretty luxurious and they have charging stations which was pretty clutch for me. We’re it’s a total of an hour and 20 minutes and

we have 53 minutes left. They’re stopping a lot in the beginning. well, we arrived at play at the Carman and we then had to run and catch a very large ferry boat to Cozumel

itself. We just caught it in time for the 5:30 PM departure Playa de Carman was pretty. Cool. There are a lot of people there and there are some cool

sites to see there. We went with Linda and Dave and loopy on the boat. I got some good pictures of this whole situation of us walking from the bus

to the ferry. Anyhow, once we got to the ferry, we chose to sit outside in the sunlight rather indoors in the air-conditioning. It was very nice outside, but it was very windy as well. It wasn’t cold, but it was very very windy. Fortunately the boat we were always pretty big so it wasn’t rocking too much. The ferry took about 30 minutes to 45 minutes. I’m not sure. Once we arrived at Cozumel, Byron was there

to greet us right there and we all said hi and extended pleasant tree. We then took a cab and we were told to pay the guy approximately $10 or so for all of us. We fortunately had a cat that

was big enough to hold all four of us in along with our luggage. That was quite some doing for sure. But the cab got us there at the hotel be and we arrived at the hotel checked and showed our
passports and then put our stuff inside the hotel then we went upstairs to the roof to do a 60 minute yoga class. It was done that way because it was very very windy and it was running late. So we

did each pose once. It was pretty cool. It was so damn windy. It was very funny too. Once we finish that we went back to our room got changed in some warmer clothes and then dinner was ready and it was really good that chicken and fish and vegetables

and it was all freshly made. It was very tasty. I was a really hungry. I had a tooth issue, but I don’t think it was anything awful but it did hurt for a second so I was very careful. After dinner, we came back

and figured out the air-conditioning thing had a clicker and we didn’t know when we called Hotel staff up here and we felt really silly, but we were kind of loopy after all that. It came to our

attention. It was 4️⃣ hours from landing the airplane in Cancun to arriving at the airport. We went through Bus, ferry, and then taxi cab, to get to

the hotel. By then arranged my clothes on the One bed and brushed my teeth and got this blog written up because I know I’m not gonna have time

and I’m going to be tired as hell tomorrow so I wanted to get this blog written up along

with the video that comes with it. A really, very fun interesting first day six day long Yoga adventure in Mexico. Link to the YouTube video of today in case it doesn’t come out on the blog.   https://youtu.be/ruegwD3_N-o?si=9mzEA4vPQj5eemZp

Weds March 26: Jacksonville/Saint Augustine

Good morning. Mary and I got up at 2:30 AM to catch the Uber at 3:30 AM. We had a breakfast sandwich that we split that was very filling. We got last-minute
packing done and the man from Uber showed up on time we drove down to terminal C. Terminal C is where TSA pre-was and it was supposed to open at four, but it wasn’t open at 4 AM.

We then went to terminal E and TSA pre-was open thank God because the

line was really long and this is 4 AM in the morning. Our flight‘s going to be leaving at 5:20 AM. Well, it’s

now 7:17 AM. We literally just landed on the tarmac and they’re going to

be pulling us to the gate right now. It was a pretty uneventful flight, but it was nice because they had

a bunch of empty seats so we are able to spread out which I love. They

even let us move up a couple seats near our baggage. The staff was really

nice on this plane. And we got a couple good views in the Sunrise as

well. Anyhow, we stopped at the airport to chill and hang out. We found a

good coffee place called Southern grounds. I checked on my Hertz rental thing and then I get a letter from Penn saying that I had pre-cancerous polyps four of them removed and there’s
still a big one to goanyway Time to enjoy my life and what’s left a bit, baby. Well, went to Jacksonville and went to a wonderful restaurant

called the beach diner. I believe that’s what it was called. I met my old sponsor Louis Lopez and we sat outside. I had a really nice batch of pancakes

and Louis and Mary had parfaits which were very good. He gave us some recommendations of places we could go around here and  enjoy. It’s now 10:50 AM. I feel like I’ve had a half day already. We drove

down route A1A to Southpoint Verda beachfront Park for a little break. It was very nice so we’re on our way to Saint Augustine. It’s almost noon out. Will we stroll to through Saint Augustine

and we found a really nice coffee place called RELAMPAGO Coffee. We left Saint Augustine. We decided to go to Amelia Island. That is north of the airport north of our hotel, which

is next to the airport. Well that was a long slog drive went up I-95 and oh my God it was a long drive then GPS landed us in a Middle of this residential community and the guy says yes that

I was happy. It’s the center of Amelia Island, which is a bunch of houses we had a good laugh with the dude he says that delivery service is always drop off free food

anyway we ended up going to Peter’s point which was a nice beachfront area. That was about eight minutes away by car. We then went there took care of business walked

on the beach and then we headed to the hotel and boy that drive to the hotel was easy so we’re at an airport hotel, which was a bit overpriced but it’s only one night. It’s

now 6:18 PM we are in for the night. I pray to God to have something to eat here. It’s not ridiculously expensive but then again we’re near the airport. What kind of screwed that

way but oh well relax and then shower and eat. Well, it’s 8:04 PM. Mary has gone to sleep and I finish showering. I am way too hungry to just crash. So I’m gonna finish up my blogging now and

see if Mary wakes up on her own calls me. The shower was very much needed. I feel a lot better, but I’m ready to stuff my face and chow down I’ve had a

really huge appetite today. The hotel is pretty nice, but the fact that they have laundry facilities that need coins, but they don’t have any coins to give you and that’s all they take is coins not a credit card or anything like that

. It’s really kind of pathetic really I got kind of grouchy about that but I got over that pretty quickly. It was a pretty adventurous day. I must say the card the car road nice we listen
to Steely Dan, The Moody Blues, The Beatles and The Roches. That’s all I can remember right now. I shifted around  a couple of doctors appointments

because there was one scheduled for March 31 and I won’t be back in Philly till late that night on

Monday night the 31st so I took care of that business so I’m going to
wait around a little bit but I might get some little petty sacks. They

want to charge eight dollars for two things of granola and there’s some sides I

can get for eight dollars so I might do that instead. I got some cool

view of the water fountain. The one thing nice about this place you really can’t tell

there’s an airport nearby except if you walk around and go

around the other side and see all the signs for the airport, but I don’t hear any airplanes

flying across and I haven’t all evening since I’ve been here. Mary

woke up around 8:45 PM and took a shower to clean yourself off. We’re gonna

go downstairs and she’s gonna decide what deed I think I’m just

going to get pasta because I’m still hungry. well, Mary
woke up and felt a lot better and we went to the front desk. Talked about vitamin water and then we went to to the restaurant that was

inside the hotel and both of us order the same pasta dish without chicken or beef. Well, that was absolutely delicious. It was so filling it. Mary couldn’t finish hers and I
couldn’t

finish Mary’s portion. Mary and I were like punching in. We’re having fun and laughing and the staff was really nice to us. We were talking about how they have laundry facilities,

but they can’t give you changed to be able to use the facilities. Another complaint was at the toilet kept running because the chain get stung underneath
the flapper and the toilet runs. Other than that it’s
pretty nice looking hotel considering it’s right next to the airport.

We then crash close to midnight. Overall, a really fun exciting different kind of day. We really had a good time. We travel well together, which is really cool!
