Friday, August 7: Flying to Healdsburg CA

Good day everyone out there. Mary and I got up around 6:20 AM. Quickly got dressed and did last-minute packing and eating. I did have forget the iced tea. We caught an Uber and Mary talked to the Uber driver for a while. She has a son in the military in England and she moved from DC and comment on Kensington. Another matters. We went to the airport and used touchless screening and they just took our picture and it worked very well and we priest through the airport. It was probably the fastest I ever got through TSA. It’s now 8:00 AM and we see terminal C 24. Well, we just entered the world of airline cluster fuck just now. First, they changed our terminal from terminal C to terminal B 10. Then we go there and the flight just got delayed  6️⃣ hours going to Phoenix, which is our connecting flight to Santa Rosa. Now I’m in line at the Customer Service service desk gonna try to got a new flight. We might have to stay overnight at the airport. Well, Owen behold Maryann I thought let’s check San Francisco out and we checked it and we were able to get a flight that originally left at 11:30 AM this morning but it’s been delayed to 1:30 PM fortunately the layover was long enough that we should make our connecting flight which boards at 5:17 PM because the plane supposed to arrive at Los Angeles by 4:12 PM we just made a reservation from the bus from San Francisco to Santa Rosa so this should be an interesting trip but at least we get out of Philadelphia on the same day so that was a modern miracle. the guy at the counter was very competent and that was helpful. Well, now it’s 1239 and supposedly this flight‘s gonna start boarding at 11 minutes. Mary managed to get our sweet change so we could sit next to each other on the flight and if we want the same thing from LA to San Francisco we have to ask the counter lady as well. So far it’s still leaving still departing at 1:30 PM, which would give us an hour to get to our connecting flight. It’s a 3:41 PM. We literally just landed on the tarmac at LAX a.k.a. Los Angeles International Airport. We are at gate 41 terminal four and we have to go to gate 151 which is supposedly a 10 minute walk but we get something to eat at this airport. We’ll have to see how long it takes for people to get off the damn plane. Went to P.F. Chang’s and had some dinner and we thought about going to Starbucks, but the line was so ridiculously long. Found out there was another Starbucks with no line after I got on the plane. This Plane is the young person‘s groovy Plane no babies no old farts just a lot of young people between the age of 20 to 35 years old. Display is also looks like it’s pretty old kind of scratched up, looking in a little bit dirty but as long as we make it safe, I’m gonna read a book and listen to doors. We had to sit separately, but we’re not that far apart. Took a long time for them to lift off from the airport. It’s gonna be a very big challenge to get off the plane and run and catch the bus at 8 o’clock if we missed at 8 o’clock bus, we don’t get on till 9:30 PM on the bus that bus a two hour ride from San Francisco. Looks like a nice day outside. We’re gonna be getting ready to land soon. They said it’s now 7:18 PM lots of mountains to look at from below. Well, we got to San Francisco and hustled to catch the bus Jason County airport in the meantime, we ended up breaking the handle on Mary’s suitcase cause I was hustling and if you get bumped a little bit handle, oh well. The bus ride went smoothly, but the brakes are really bright when you would stop. The bus driver is very nice. well, we got to Healdsburg. I mean Santa Rosa airport and Joe picked us up which is very nice. We were both extremely exhausted went to the Fairview Inn, which is right around the corner for a homeless shelter so I now know why certain people were concerned. But it’s very nice Hotel it’s very basic.

Monday, August 3: Humid w/Rain. Yoga

Hello boys and girls today is Monday and I woke up to a complete torrential downpour when I look outside the window at the Dorchester so I decided to help with that. I’m taking Uber to Mike’s. I’m not gonna become soaked before I even get there. I went to the Uber website and have this thing called “Uber premium.“ They had a six dollars off of Uber premium so I ended up riding in some large Ford Escalade or explorer whatever those big huge SUV cars are nowadays. So I rode through and it was pouring like crazy by the time I got the Mike’s it settled down a little bit, but it rained for a while then the sun came out when I was going to CVS to do an errand for him then by the time I was done that Aaron it started to rain again. Mike did do his exercises today which was good. It wasn’t a day to go out for Abby’s reasons. Anyhow, three or 1 PM I just went to the alternative pharmacy called Health South. They had 3️⃣ scripts done but not the other two. I’m going to drink another icy I guess and get ready for 4 PM Yoga with Dan fire teaching for a change on Monday. Hopefully the samosas will be there as well. Well south 3:39 PM I’m heading to 4 PM class with Dan. The weather cleared up from the miserable rain we had this morning and I said my goodbyes to Mike signed out and talked to Mary. Believe it or not we’ll be flying out to California this Friday and coming back very early Monday morning of next week. Meanwhile, I have a MONDAY Night Beginners meeting at 6:45 PM, but we’re gonna be going to CVS to pick up a script. Mary has waiting. anyhow, we went to Dan’s class because byron took the afternoon off. It was a good class as usual for for Dan and the mimosas are back on Monday and we picked up three of them from Maryann two of them for me and I’m heading to my MONDAY Night Beginners meeting. I actually have choir practice tomorrow and a 7 AM meeting at the same place at the ethical Society right across from Mary’s house. well lo and behold I went to that MONDAY Night Beginners and it was like a different meeting very dynamic group. Some of the people usually show up weren’t there and bunch of people I’ve never seen before showed up there was one guy was his first AA meeting ever so it was pretty cool. I then went to the convenience store and got some iced teas and Pepsi’s for the supply. We watched two episodes of Law and order and Mary figured out our plans for California starting on Friday and I’m gonna get up early for the first new AA meeting. I’ve been to in many years.
