Sunday October 25: Café, Yoga & Pennhurst Movie
Good day and good night to everybody at the same time. Today we woke up around the same time around 10:30 AM. We went to the café for one of our last meals there since apparently there is determined to be catering place only. That property like to be catering only it has a Laure to it that makes businesses just wanna not serve people and just do catering. Anyway, went there and enjoyed our breakfast. We then relaxed a bit and went to Kaitlyn‘s 4 PM class. It was a really good class I thoroughly enjoyed it and I felt pretty strong today. Afterwards we came back we mellow it out. Had a little bite to eat and then got ready to go to a Pinehurst a movie about the Pennhurst State Hospital. The movie was called The Haunting of Pennhurst. I wasn’t sure how I’d react to this movie. As you might know, or might not know, they turned into Pennhurst into a haunted house during the Halloween time. They also have a convention of ghost hunters come and visit. Try to talk to the tortured souls that died in this hospital. They investigate they had these neurodivergent young adults play the spooky characters, which is all nice and good but something was off about that. They did show archival footage and Bill Baldini special when it was on channel 10 in 1968. There was a question and answer. Afterwards, there was a discussion where people could ask questions to the authors of the movie and they answered the questions some sufficiently some not so including one Mary asked. One fellow audience, member agreed that they only answered part of the question. Well, the most lightning part was afterwards we ran into one of the women who asked a really good question and another fellow who actually interviewed Chuck and Peter and remembers Chuck specifically. The woman said she wanted to interview me and I definitely want to call the guy back and meet him as well. That’s gonna be a very enlightening experience. I look forward to sharing that with Alice at some point soon. We came back watched a little bit of eye talk Studios about the Brewers kicking ass in the playoffs and then we watched John Oliver talk about drug assisted therapy and then it was time to go to bed on a very interesting evening.
