Tuesday, January 27: McGee Rehab, Choir Risers, & Yoga

Well today I got up around eight had breakfast then I called LIFT and they were charging 28 bucks for the trip so I went down there to pick it up 

and suddenly the driver wasn’t there so I had to wait another eight minutes for a second drive to show up so I was 20 minutes late. I was very fortunate that the lady saw me right away and had no problems since it looked like it was lightly attended. there are a lot of people didn’t show up due to the remnants of the snow. I was gonna catch the seven, but it blew right by just when I was coming out of McGee and I caughtthe 64 abroad and Ellsworth and walked to Mike’s. Well, I warmed up at Mike’s as I should’ve. I’ve then decided to have lunch and have a juicy and some coffee and that’s what I did. It’s now 1249. I’m tracing through the snow heading to help out with moving risers. Mike called this morning. I called him back and he stated that he would not be going home today as he previously thought for a minute. He will be transported by ambulance,
but there are concern they won’t be able to deliver him due to the street conditions, which is ridiculous. So at least he’s not coming home today, which is actually convenient for me today cause I’m supposed to help out with clearing risers at 1 o’clock today. Apple has an update for iOS 26. this update will enable folks in Australia with older iPhones to make a 911 emergency calls. I’m not sure it does anything else but I think that’s pretty funny. A very specific group of people. By the way it’s summer in Australia now. Temperature is in triple

Well, I did go ahead and help with clearing the risers that was quite a job. There were 6️⃣ of us there in total. Maybe only 5️⃣ of us there. We first moved the risers to the van and then 2️⃣ of us drove the van and 3️⃣ of us took Uber to the storage place in Grace ferry. Guy was nice enough to pay for the $$11 fare. Anyhow, we got the storage 

place and had to take out bins first to fit in the risers. It was quite a job. Those risers are heavy. I had to be really careful not to hurt myself. I can tell him not the strapping  l 30-year-old I used to be but I did OK after that. I went to Mary’s and went to Tina‘s 4 o’clock class. I was pretty stiff but I did OK. Tina is a really good teacher. She’s very encouraging. After that, I didn’t have to go to choir, but because I found out from the folks, I was with  that the rehearsal was canceled due to the weather. It’s going to get really really, really frigid this coming weekend Friday and Saturday are gonna be the coldest days and in several years. Mary and I then had some Indian and watched a couple episodes of Law and order. Mike is 

supposed to get out of the  hospital tomorrow. He said 9:30 AM but I doubt that’s gonna happen.

Feb 4th: A New Day!

Today I woke up felt alright. I took Emily for a cold weather stroll & took a packed trolley from 63rd and Malvern to 19th St. After the meeting, went to the coffee

the trolleys were running really spastic this morning. I  texted a friend who is looking for work and trying to keep their apartment. I hope she gets a job soon.

Well I'm  now on the. 46 bus going up to walk Emily out in Overbrook to get that out-of-the-way. Wes contacted me we might do Ethiopian. But his wife has the car and you know how it is to be a married man,  

So I'll visit Pat,  I just don't know when right now. My guess is that I walk Emily and then just head straight back to his place. Emily shouldn't take that long. Sent a text to Larry ask him if he knew anything

 about the weather forecast? I got a reply that precipitation would begin as snow at Midnight then change over to all rain by the morning.

So my friends I will be going to work on time it will be wet. Nothing unusual there.Well I'm going meet Wes for dinner he's going to pick me up at 7:30. We plan to do some Ethiopian. It is now 6:30 PM.

Well Wes came over and we drove down to Abyssinia Ethiopian.

We ordered a whole mess of platters combos and the food was tasty. Service was very good and we had good conversation. At the end of our dinner a woman asked us about an interaction I had with the waitress

The Christmas party had a saga or one woman who's organizing it doesn't want to be involved with it anymore. Well all I knows I'm bringing soda for that and I contributed 10 bucks. While at work I bought five dollars worth of mega millions numbers since The jackpot was extremely high. The odds on winning are in the tune of 295,000,000 to 1!! It's little wonder I don't play the numbers.

After work, I then endeavored to get some things done afterwords.

FedEx I managed to get in there with no hassle and get the computer. They managed to do a full diagnostic as well as replacing the keyboard. I decided to go home and take a nice power nap and that works pretty well with the help of Mike getting me up.

I started to go to the meditation I went out there 21 showed up immediately. I got off at 4th and Chestnut when you get a coffee and walked back and here comes to 57 right on cue.

Waiting for the 64 Bus

dropping off the van after she delivered flowers and did flower arranging  for $$. I helped by pumping gas. I spent the last 8 years in New Jersey waiting for attendants to pump my gas. New Jersey law does NOT allow a person pump gas and then dropped it off near 10th and Washington streets. We said goodbye and then I looked up Google maps and realized that the route 64 bus

was right at the corner of 10th and Washington. Now that was some good bus karma my friends. As you familiar with West Philly night now the 64 runs right up Baltimore Avenue and then I got off at 40 at 46th and Chestnut actually it was Farragut and Chestnut near the

When I returned Mike and Rob came with the bounty of food and I was looking for the battery and cord of the computer that was just repaired. I went through areas of the house that had not been looked at in months. I found Mike your phone attachment that I just called the replace amongst other items.

It was like going on a treasure hunt.A little bit later Rob worked his ass off and cleaned out the refrigerator. This is been the first time that refrigerator really been scrubbed since I move. It was a wonderful thing.
