Friday, May 1: Day Off. Choosing New Glasses, Millbourne, & Mexica

Good day everybody today is Friday but it felt like Saturday all day. This is because I decided to last week that I was gonna be taken off today because Mike had some kind of 3:30 PM doctors appointment that was scheduled by Penn when he was last in the hospital. I decided I just wasn’t up for missing Yoga because of hanging around with Mike at the hospital to 5:30 PM. I think I chose a good day. It was cool but very sunny all day long. Mary and I slept until about 10:30 AM. We then went to the heart of catering café in Nash on delicious breakfast. We then caught an Uber straight from the café straight to vision Works, which is done at S. Columbus Blvd. sort of close to where I did Rehab. It was deep deep in the heart of South Philly near the docks. Went in there and it wasn’t very busy. The associate help us was lady had really really long fingernails and sort of a northeast Philly kind of. person There were different types of glasses. There was a section for a square glasses, rectangle, glasses, and round glasses. There is also obviously men’s and women’s pairs of the same shapes. I ended up getting a pair of rectangle glasses even though I thought I would go to the square ones. This one pair fit around my head and had long arms to reach around my ears. My ears are getting bigger every day as I get older. I had two ideas one was to get a two for one that was $940 or just get one pair for 560. I decided to just buy one parrot for the $560. I think everything is sort of gone up at least 40% since I bought glasses I think around the time of the pandemic’s last time I went and got glass. I was still working for the state in 2021. Who knows it might’ve been late 2020 I don’t remember. Anyway, we chose the glasses then I looked at Coop of maps and we were able to catch the seven bus in the middle of nowhere bus stop and that took 40 minutes, but it was a nice tour through South Philly. It was really sunny by the got back to Mary’s. It was way too late to go to 4:00 PM class we decided also that we blow off 5 PM class go to Photo Lounge and then head out to Millbourne Pennsylvania. I’m in arts and recovery and I wanted to pick out some photos that are just sitting around in Millbourne alone without being looked at. Mary was very helpful. We went through a bunch of photos refrained a couple and made some decisions of what photos to bring. I also cleaned out the refrigerator because it got all icy. We then decided we were really really hungry and we headed to the Mexican restaurant around 8:50 PM. We called them they were open and they served up the most delicious burrito. I’ve had in a long, long, long time. We both really enjoyed the food and the down home down to earth atmosphere. Then we were looking at Wilder where we’re going for lunch which is completely different type of restaurant. It sound 9:46 PM we’re just relaxing and digesting our food. We probably will end up going to Mary’s and sit around and then probably crash out maybe watch one law and order I don’t know but at least we don’t have to do anything tomorrow morning because we took care of Photo Lounge in the Eyeglasses issue because the sale on the Eyeglasses was over today believe or not that $560 was the sale price mind you. Anyway, it was a nice day off to doing something completely different. Mary really enjoyed it as well.

Thursday, January 22: First Day of Work Picture Frames & Yoga

This morning I woke up from a decent night of sleep. The drugs kicked in nicely and my toothache didn’t keep me up. I talked to Mary a bit and showed up at Mike’s a little after 9 AM. On the way to work I called Colman & Turner dentistry and they agreed to see me first thing in the morning at 8 AM to work on this tooth. I am going to bring up implants just to find out what we’re talking about here so I got a quote of 4000 for   2️⃣ teeth so it

would be 6️⃣ grand to do three teeth. So it’s gonna be a very interesting six months cause probably in the next six months I’ll be applying for Medicare and
that’s my latest thought. Anyhow, Mike and I made a couple calls. Nichole showed up and we’re going to be submitting our photographs on 29 January for the Sketch Club passionate art for both of us got accepted. I wrote a review on tank girls for loopy and now I gotta write a review for byron and Hot Yoga , Philadelphia. I just have to get
my brain around it. Anyhow, feel OK right now and I’m really relieved the tooth is not killing me. Anyhow, I just got notified of this article written in the Wall Street Journal how we’re just as a country self-destructing ourselves. The article states it, China and Russia don’t have to do anything to hurt our standing as a countryin the world Trump‘s doing afine job at that. anyhow, I met Mary around noon to settle out the photographs for the exhibit we had them custom framed and I paid about $100 and changed for a custom frame for my photo. They’ll be done by next Wednesday, which is good because that the deadlines on

the following Thursday we then after that we then went to lunch at the café and I had myself a wrap. I thought I was going to leave quicker but ended up talking about dental implants. I remember when Auditor General Bud Dwyer shot himself on live TV 39 years ago on January 22, 1987. I read the comments on the

Facebook post and then it snowed 8.8 inches that day. It was a snow day for a lot of people. I know the state didn’t close because they never close except during that 34 inch blizzard we had in 1996 a year earlier. In general winners were brutal for a long period of time
now we have in Philly 2️⃣ rough weeks at the end of every January that are just friggin galactically awful with snow and frigid temperatures but rest of the time it’s usually mid 30s, which is pretty easy. Well, the talk this week is about the impending snowstorm coming on Sunday. It’ll start first thing in the morning on Sunday weather forecast range from now 8 to 18 inches it’s all over the map. I love how the Internet just making fun of the procrastinators and also the news for trying to hype it up. I’ll never forget John Bolaris reporting on the storm in the century back and then mid 90s and gotten Hooten

and he was laughed out of the city and had to go to New York for a few years, cause he was mocked and it was a beautiful thing.
