Sunday, November 1: Meeting w/ Friends. Last day & Café

This morning we got up around 9 o’clock Eastern standard time. Yes indeed the clocks were turned back today to start the process of getting

darker and darker throughout the winter and stuff like that. We also got up at to meet Betty at the Capitol One café. Mary has not seen her in a while. I’d

last solar at Mary’s mom‘s funeral so it’s been a while. We met at the Capitol One and we really had a nice time hanging out and talking and cheering.

We had a little snack and coffee. We then walked to Rittenhouse Square on a lovely fall day that we had. We set our goodbyes and headed out to Mary‘s house.

We dropped off the coterie board charcuterie board That Betty had bought Mary for her birthday. It’s very nice made by hand, etc. It’s very nice wood

you can’t wash it with soap that’s how nice it is. Anyhow, we then headed to the café and we had called earlier for a reservation and the table was reserved for

all of us. Larry showed up like about two minutes late and had found a parking spot across the street from the café, which is a modern miracle considering

how difficult it is to find parking there. We all hung out and had a really fun time. We shared about all kinds of stuff from childhood to our trip to

Alaska to Larry’s trip to Alaska. He had visited Alaska with his wife back in 2019. Wife’s name is Allen by the way back then Larry was very heavy my

God he he’s really in shape today compared to what he looked like in 2019. He had a trip to China that really made him think seriously about taking care of himself. I won’t tell that story. Anyhow,

it’s now 3:21 PM. Mary got some shoes from Amazon as well as a couple other items for household help. Mike called and said that his sister and nephew did

show up and moved his stuff. In fact, the Nephew encouraged him to throw other stuff out that I didn’t get them to throw out which was good. The only bad

news is, they found roaches in the bed, which is a little troubling, so the drama continues. Anyhow, Mike has no electricity today because the effective date of the turnaround of power is not

till tomorrow. So we’re heading out to Yoga. well, we went to Kaitlyn‘s yoga class and it was pretty good. I must say. It was interesting where she covered up the windows with the curtains

to signify that were in standard time and the weather is changing and time is changing. after Class went back to Dorchester and relaxed it was good to relax and then we decided we’d have some pasta that we’re gonna eat. Took a while to cook, but that’s how it works. Mike has no electricity in his new apartment because pico doesn’t turn it on till Monday, which is tomorrow it’s gonna be interesting. Going in there with Mike’s crap in a new apartment the chair. I usually sit in with thrown out along with the white thing that was near his bed, so I’m not sure what he’s gonna do with all this garbage.

Saturday, October 31: Halloween 2026!

Today we got up around 11 AM after refreshing sleep. It’s a cool sunny day today. Went to the café for a second to last meal there. My friend Larry

Nussbaum is going to join us with his wife tomorrow Sunday around 1 o’clock. Anyhow, we left the café after started getting a little chilly cause they had

opened some doors. We walked back and checked out where that Royal Indian used to be in. They haven’t done that much and don’t look like they’re

nearly rated open yet. I think they just ran out of money or just taking their sweet old time. We then went to the convenience store and picked up some

of our favorite iced tea and the guy mentioned they just got delivery today so we did lock out right there. Mary throwing some laundry and we’re gonna

unwind a little bit before going to our first yoga class in two days how about them apples and pears? It’s much cooler today. Yesterday was about 78°. Daylight

savings time ends late tonight. I can’t believe we’re gonna have an extra hour of sleep but less sunshine, so you know the seasons are changing

when that happens. That’s the biggest indicator that there’s no such thing as Summer anymore for the rest of the year. What we went to Mia’s 4 PM class

and that was a good class. It was very spirited and lighthearted. References the Halloween were made and it was a good class. I was very stiff especially

my lower back when I first started, but it went well. After we left Class, we spent about three hours reserving the plane to Nashville, renting a car

and then getting a hotel. It was complicated with the fact that parking is expensive in Nashville so instead of paying 50 a night for parking and we’re going to

pay 30 a night and we got a half decent deal at a decent hotel. That’s very close to Becky‘s place this is for Easter 2027 for March 25 through

March 29. Now we’re finally gonna get Indian food from Curry Leaf and relax. It’s kind of chilly right now, but it’s reasonable for this time of year.
