Sunday, December 31: New Year’s Eve 2023

Thank you. After really good thorough sleep I got up and quickly ate breakfast

and headed down to 30th St. to pick up the rental car. I was hoping there

wouldn’t be any massive screw ups so I could go to this Vinyasa class I

was told about in South Philly. Turned out everything was smooth. if people

were nice at the counter. I got an electric car cause I

was the only small car they had left. I had trouble getting the control since place

but the car was pretty zippy and it’s a 2023 Chevy volt. After I picked

up the car, I bolted ha ha to South Philly thank God to have , GPS because on

the way there I was blocked by truck and the GPS got me around the

block blockade and I made it to class on time. The room was cold and several people I thought would be there couldn’t make it because they were babysitting

their grandchildren, etc. anyhow , Maria was very nice I haven’t been talked by her in I think years because I don’t go to Early classes. She left Hot Yoga , Philadelphia
so not going to be

in class with her anytime soon except going to this class. It was good couple new moves etc. after that I came home and took a nice nap and took a shower and shave.

it felt good to just blob out. I’m good at that anyhow , I returned to Mary’s and we hung out and had delicious stuffed peppers her specialty. I love eating those stuffed

peppers 🫑 Umm stuffed!! Anyhow, we got distracted and texting and

it was 1030 and we had to be at the yoga class. We made it in plenty of time. They had all kinds of

festival balloons and and swag for New Year’s. It was fun.

It was a very packed class, and they played all kinds of music from Devo to Talking

Heads it was pretty cool. Afterwards, it was nice to listen to love

shack and knowing that I didn’t have to pay $80 to go to Ardmore $60 to go to Millbourne or this is the best one, $35 from the The yoga
studio to the Dorchester, which is basically a 15 minute walk. It

was kind of ridiculous but that’s a tradition. I have see how much

it cost to Uber but Ardmore it wasn’t $100.  Ardmore would’ve been

only 85 bucks + tip so that’s proof that inflation has improved or less

people are going out. It was a good way to start 2024. Tomorrow we’re going to take a

road trip to Long Beach Island and Millville with the rental car that I got. It’s an

electric car. Hopefully it won’t be too much of a hassle rent one of these

cars. It’s the first one I ever rented. I think I’ve rentedhybrids

but never a pure electric car. We’ll see what happens.

Saturday, December 31: Cleaning, Rest, Dinner Out & Midnight Yoga

I got up around 9:20 AM since the cleaning lady was going to be coming at 9:30 AM. Turns out she was running late so I ran into Pat.he got his motorcycle
with a sidecar delivered back to his place. He gave me more information about his getting in Nissan pathfinder. His car exhaust would cost $2500. plus

he has an alternator that’s starting to go. He figured he would get a

car for $2000 rather make those repairs. He’s thinking of just keeping it in the

garage so he can tinker around with it. If I really need a car

bad, I can get a good deal on the car but I doubt I’ll do that because it has over

190,000 miles on it. The interior is really grainy. The exterior is in decent shape because he

got new wheels repainted it, etc. Petro me to the ATM to get money out of the TD Bank ATM that’s located

at 63rd St. near arch. After I did that I cleaned around the house and

decided I would take a nap. That’s what I did. After the nap and decided to ego

down center city for a little bit. There was a train leaving from Jefferson

station. That would take me directly to Ardmore in less than 45 minutes. I’m not

sure if my senior fare card I got from Larry is gonna last past tomorrow.

Will have to see. Anyway, I caught the train on time and the fog is really intense outside. This train has a lot of kids on
it so I guess they went to Christmas village or something. People are still populating the nation. Anyhow, the train showed up on time and was very efficient
and got me to Ardmore around 4:12 PM. I managed to remember the innards of the vacuum cleaner so Lynne could clean it up. She wanted to clean this thing up, so I brought it

with me. I managed not to leave it somewhere stupid. Anyhow, we have dinner at 5 o’clock. It’s a place in Bryn Mawr called WHITE HOUSE TAJIN. Looks really delicious. Looking forward to it.
I got it! Anyhow, I’m going to have a super coffee before we go out because I want to get that pack of energy. Hopefully

the rain will get any harder. Right now it’s not too bad we
won’t get wet in it as I have proven. This restaurants definitely

funky. It looks pretty cool I want to technically see a movie at the Bryn Mawr movie theater and then go to this place which is totally Greek and Mediterranean. Prices don’t seem to be so bad either. This is a Moroccan

place in the food has been delicious. They bring the smell out that bubbling boiling hot. It
is now 6:16 PM. We should be done by seven so we have about four hours for the food to digest before 11 o’clock yoga class.. well we got the train on time, and we showed up about an hour ahead of time due to the public

transit, werewolf reading to be let in, I realize the train I thought was running that leaves at 1 AM isn’t leaving at 1 AM so we may have to take the market Frankford line or some bullshit.
They’re dressing up the upstairs fourth floor room with lights. There were two or three people already in a building setting up ahead

of time. I thought there might be people there because the sign was already out. We had a discussion about Facebook,
and then proceeded to  change door outfit and safe spot in the room. Well, this is the end of my Block posting. I will be in the yoga studio for the rest of

remains of 2022. There’s an hour and a half left happy new year everybody. Well, your glass was really fun and joyous. We did miss the 1:00 AM train and then we were kind of

stuck because everything stopped running but Pat save the day picked us up. Thank God for that. Friend in

need is a friend indeed.
