Saturday, November 9: Ocean Grove and Asbury Park

Hi. Got up around 9:06 AM this morning and went out to the rental car place

at 30th St. It seems like Hertz took over a bunch of smaller companies. They had it thrifty under the Hertz counter so I went to

the thrifty there and picked up the car. They were doing construction right at the stairwell at 30th so I didn’t see it But eventually

picked up the car. The Apple CarPlay didn’t work on this Malibu that I got the system was a little substandard. I couldn’t make it work. We drove with

no tolls through I 76, route 295 and 195 to Ocean Grove anyway we arrived here around 1:00 PM and we have a couple hours to kill so we gwent to this

place called Tino‘s, which has really delicious organic style pizza. It was extremely delicious. We also had   2️⃣ cannolis

which were very tasty and delicious. It’s much cooler today than it had

been for the last week but it’s still pretty nice. Mary got herself a

winter hat to keep herself warm and our room is finally ready at 2:25 PM.

When we got back to a room, settled in and took a nice nap which is really

needed. we had ventured onward to Asbury Park. First went to the wonder

bar check that out and I bought a shirt which is really a good idea. It was of

Tillie, the famous face of Asbury parkq. We then went to the convention

center went to this photo art gallery owned by a guy who takes pictures

of rock and rollers of all shapes and sizes to the owner was really cool and

we were in there for at least an hour just looking through things and

then we went to the carousel. We have funky paintings and walked around a little bit. There was a nice half moon out there which we both very much enjoyed.

It was a nice fun adventure and we got to see a lot of things in a fairly short period of time actually.
It was a nice clear night a little cool, but

I think seasonable temperatures this time around. The our gallery is particularly cool with all the photographs done by this one
guy, a lot of famous rock and blues dudes, and

women as well like Dolly Parton and Patti Smith. After you left the

gallery, went back to the hotel and turned on the space heater which he did the room very nicely I must say. I mean it really heated through well. We then planned on tomorrow to get up at 8:30 AM to leave Asbury by 11 AMdown to Springhaven golf club for my mom’s 95th birthday.
