MDC To Decide Ad Agency Contract!

I attended this meeting as a private citizen on Feb 25th at City Hall. It went from 5pm to about 8:30 or so.
Three agencies are going for the contract which will go to 2011. They are Graphicus, Whyble Advertising and an outside company called JFG. The decision will be announced at the March MDC meeting on March 12 at 8am. We were inpressed with one of them who had a catchy phrase.
MDC members were in attendence and were voting for each of the 3 companies as they gave their pitches. Whyble Advertising is the current holder of the contract and has been the agency for eight years.
I will keep my preference a secreat untill March 12th. You can guess between now and then.
I look forward to hearing opinions.

funny..no complaining about sitiing at this meeting for 3 1/2 hrs. but sitting at a city commission meeting several weeks ago for 3 hours was on the top of your complaint list.

There was substance at this meeting.

No one wants to hear Michelle Post, Bob Tesoroni or Paul Porecca say the same crap over and over and over again.

The sound of your own voice is loved only by you.

Yea, substance - just look how the crime rate has gone down since CJ and his puppets have patroled the streets. There is also a noticeable increase in business on High Street since Jamal's opened. I can't believe they were allowed to open. They are actually selling their product. Definitely not in keeping with the District.

You are partially right. I don't have one. Don't you ever get tired of being wrong?

I hope that whoever is awarded the Ad contract markets the community effectively to increase foot traffic to many of the local vendors. I truly believe we offer a great deal of unique items that are not normally found in traditional malls and stores. I just think we need to attract the right kind of buyers outside the area. The concept is good, but we do need to appeal to the masses a little more. It would just take a few key businesses that would draw in enough people to make the downtown area active, lively and fun for all. http://www.guidetosouthjersey.com
