Monday, March 28: Rain Camping Prep, Home Depot

Good day everybody. Today was one of the rare days that it was raining outside. It’s pretty dreary as bad as dreary San Diego gets. It’s

also about 60° which is considered pretty cool here. There’s a nice stiff breeze blowing and Wesley stayed inside all day. We did a lot of talking

and hanging out. I’m trying to plan a camping trip that are for invited Alice

to up north of Los Angeles. There’s a lot of planning Alice had to do to even get started. A lot of it involves her dog getting a place for the stain make sure
that  food is available and all the shots are there that are needed.

She’s been on the phone back-and-forth with these people and she’s doing a really

good job. He’s able to squeeze in the kennel and get a waiver from one of the influenza shots.

Anyhow, we decided that we would go do all the errands and pick up the rental car and pack up tonight and leave for Ventura and stay overnight in Ventura

and then head the rest of the time up to the campsite. Oh yes I’ve been contacted

through Instagram. Pats trying to figure out my computer that he bought from me.

I’ve been in touch with Murray about my trip to Idaho. It’s now 4:30 PM or the first leg of our errands to go to this camping trip. We first stopped The Courtyard at

Carmel Mountain Ranch. There’s a Petco at this little mall and picking up that then we’re  Going to the kennel and drop the dog off. Will also get some

extra professions for the trip such as clothes and charger in containers for water. It’s now 6:45 PM and we’re now heading towards the
airport to pick

up the rental car. It’s a midsize SUV. We first. Went to Ralph’s to get groceries, then we went to Home Depot to pick up logs and fire starter etc. Oh I forgot we went to

Dick’s sporting good store to pick up tent sleeping bag and A blowup mattress so we don’t have to sleep on the ground.  Went to O’Reilly’s auto to pick up a generator. They had one more

left after this one. I was at color room for that.  Well, the next trip was to the rental car place. This didn’t go as smoothly as the other portions

of the preparation. First of all there was no direct way to park and get the rental and second of all we got the rental place, they didn’t have the car we ordered and then try to steer us to a car that

would cost a lot more. We settled on a large van when we left. We have

double insurance part one with the third-party and one with the rental company so that ended up bumping up the price anyhow. As I was driving out the rain started coming down really hard again. I’m hoping the rain dies down at 9 o’clock. It’s now 8:18 PM  we’re going to drive to Ventura and then stater hotel there.
