Indeed the plumber came out for the 2nd time in 2 weeks and got out what looks like a BIG clump of grass. Glad we do not need a new sewer system YIKES!!
He did not charge for the 2nd visit which was good cause it was $200 to go 40 feet in our sewer line.

Had the same problem. Not grass. It's finger roots. Trees seek out a source of water and then invade your sewer lines. Three options: Replace sewer line with PVC, get rid of the trees or keep paying the plumber.
Are you sure it is not alive?
We have the same problem here. Rather than call the plumber every year, which we were doing, we buy a container of Root Kill from Lowes every four months.
You flush it in three doses before going to bed (it has to sit in the pipes overnight) and it takes care of the root problems.
Let's SMOKE It!!!
Yup Just went to Lowes and got some. The instructions state that it kills aquatic life. Well, my $$ is more important.
Wow..man that S**T would really get you off somewhere.

You're a disappointment. Money over the environment. It all comes out in time.
