Flyer of Ignorence

This flyer was shown to me by a friend who lives on Columbia Ave. He said that his neighbor got a copy as well. It make ignorant remarks about "lower class people" and "starving artists" on High Street. This attempt to sow resentment about fellow citizens should be flatly rejected

I am a Bridgeton (Hopewell Twp. resident), so I know this is none of my business, but I'm going to put my two cents in anyway.

When the Millville project started, to be honest, I didn't think it would work. I am thrilled with the way it has turned out. I have showed work at the Renaissance center myself, and the third Fridays are unbelievably successful. It's wonderful to have some culture, and a place for artists like myself, to show work locally.

I'm sure we all realize this is not the first time in history that artists have been put down, misunderstood, and not trusted.

As for the "starving artists", I am far from rich, but most definately not starving. I love my
cheesesteaks.

As far as "the lower class people" who have "not worked as hard as their potential", (besides needing to take some grammar lessons), how do they know the potential of these "lower class people", and whether or not they are living up to it? Uggh.

Maybe, Van Gogh style, we could each cut off an ear and mail it to "the powers that be". If that seems a little drastic, perhaps we could do a Cristo and wrap city hall in some gauzy fabric. It would get their attention!

Just my humble opinion.
