Tuesday, December 7: Retirement Papers Arrive & 80 Years since Pearl Harbor

I got up this morning feeling a lot more rested than I did yesterday morning which was definitely a

relief. I got up made my breakfast and sign in for work. I worked and worked

and made a lot of progress on catching up before I go off on retirement land. Tomorrow
is my 11 o’clock appointment with retirement  counselor to sign the forms. The retirement forms came back thank goodness I was one less to sweat over. I’m glad I made the appointment for Wednesday
instead of today. So I got the forms and got my witnesses lined up. I almost got confused everybody because I didn’t make myself clear.

I got time to get work done which I’ve done already. It appears that the omicron variant is easily transmissible but not any worse than the Delta variant that’s been ravaging the country for
the last six months. Later on I had myself a burrito from the building across the street I mean the restaurant across the street. It was pretty

good kind of left couple things out but it was not bad. It was a nice break from the ordinary. I then talked on the phone a while. And thought

about the old days. Retirements creeping up like creeping Socialism. I’m excited but also nervous. Things are going to be changing and change is kind of a weird experience for me at times. Changes

in my relationships and my schedule which
I haven’t changed in 30+ years. I’m credited with 29.9 years of service but I actually have 34 years including the time in Norristown

in Montgomery County. There was a commentary by Louis Black which was classic. I’m gonna put it on here it was just a friggin classic

he read from this woman Alexandria Warser neck and it sounded like it was written by Louis himself.
