Monday, January 31: Sleep Then to Strasberg Pa

Today I woke up pretty tired from last night but I managed to get out of bed by 9:45 AM. I got to force myself out at 9:45 AM. Anyway I didn’t know what 

I was going to do but I wanted to do something with the car. Lynne gave me 

a couple ideas so I just want to go with Strasburg with the train museum and the model train 

set up they have there. It was a beautiful day out and the GPS took me to two West Chester Pike to interstate 

476 to 202. 202 Surprisingly Was Highway the whole time and route 30 Was Highway most

 of the time. Looks like they’re both well-maintained. I got to Strasburg and found

 everything that I went to see was closed because it was a Monday.

 It was fine I got to see something different and  I was pretty close to Lancaster by the time I drove around. I took some pictures and sent them to Lynne and some other

 people. I then took the weird way back which was route to to to to this funny Road to route one north then to 95 in the airport. I had to quickly 

go to Wawa and buy some gas and drop off the car. I did that and then walked across the way past the Hilton parking lot to the airport line which picked me up 

at left 7:11 PM  just got dropped off and now I’m gonna wobble

 on over the 30th St. to catch the EL home. The GPS wants to send you down 

to 15th St. but they just go to 30th walk across the street because there’s

 construction going on. It’s 737 I’ll probably be home by 8 PM. I got home around

 8 o’clock and I was pretty tired but mostly hungry. So I ate some food 

and just relaxed from all the driving I’ve done the last couple days. I’m glad 

I got to go out on a nice sunny day instead of being cloudy or rainy

 etc. actually the trip back from the rental car place was pretty smooth. I know how 

to get to run arrivals Road via the train and I know most of the places are jampacked together
It’s not super quick but it’s not as bad as it sounds on paper. I’m hoping I can get stuff done 

tomorrow being until Monday. I need to act like the work week is 
the work week even though I’m retired at this point 

Sunday, January 30: Road Trip COVID Style

Well we attempted to get up around 930 10:00 AM but that just didn’t work out. It’s 1120 I’m just

 starting to get breakfast in the morning. It’s pretty cold outside about 20° out right now. I have
 my rental car here in Ardmore and we’re gonna head out to a weird little place call Potlicker Flats. It’s about 2 1/2 hours from here. I guess we’ll be  leaving a little after  1:30 PM.I got a two day rental for the car. We had to 

hold do a whole bunch of items before we were able to leave. We left around 130 

and arrived at State College around 5:20 PM. The sun is starting to set and we pulled

 into a Papa John’s. They have no indoor bathrooms it looks like it’s just a short 
takeout place. I had to find my own way of going to the restroom Lynne was nice enough to order the stuff online. Actually no she 

 decided to call them and see if they could take bring the order to us. I don’t 
know where my mask when I lost it no idea where it went a little frustrated at this point. But I’m sure a little food will help. Kansas City was leading 21 to 3 against Cincinnati and  
  they’re now in overtime last thing I saw on YouTube was interception by Cincinnati early in overtime. Kansas City apparently did win the coin toss.  Turned out that Cincinnati won in overtime. In the other game the Los Angeles Rams 
beat the 49ers at the end of the game. We eventually got through State College and Lynne took some pictures for me since I was driving. 
We ended up pulling over somewhere for pizza but the Papa John’s was full so we just ordered Chinese. After the Chinese we were nice and full and we decided to then turn around and 
head back to to Ardmore. We succeeded in doing that and we ended up meditating and I got a good massage with this massage machine. We watched a little bit of criminal minds and then I had to head back to home to take care of the cat etc.

Saturday, January 29: Snow Day & Picking Up Rental

Good day. It is now  about 11 AM right now. I’m just having my first cuppa coffee here in old Ardmore. I slept pretty well even though
 the cold air was blowing. I’m gonna have some cereal soon. It looks like about five or 6 inches fell on the ground. There’s a little more flurries but the 

major accumulations time. The way to pick up quite a bit though. I had my cereal and coffee. We then hung out for a while and talked stuff. We’re going to Verizon before it closes at six and 
then I’m going to rent a car I believe but I have to go to the airport because no other Rental Car‘s  are closed. It was announced today that Tom Brady formerly 

of the  New England Patriots and currently the Tampa Bay buccaneers is retiring after 22 years & 7 Super Bowls. That’s going to  be the top news story until the playoffs in the conference championships.
We attempted to go to Verizon but they were closed and the Apple store was closed. Lynne drop me off at 30th St. so I could catch the airport line 
to the rental place. It’s good old one arrivals road I’ve been there before 79 dollars for two days which is pretty damn good. I got there pretty well because Lynne drove
 me to 30th St. station which enabled me to get there a decent hour. Well that was all fine and good. I first went to the wrong place I went to the budget instead of the dollar Rent-A-Car. And

 boy was a dollar Rent-A-Car ever crowded I waited an hour and a half 

from six to about 730 there two women and then one woman 

just stop working and there’s only one left. So pathetic never want to 

work for Rental CarPlay so it is now 9 o’clock and I am just getting towards

 the Ardmore house. We haven’t taken our daily walk yet so we’ll see what happens from there. Well, I use my phone a little bit too much so our walk was delayed a little bit. But

 we went outside at 10:08 PM it was 14° we just got back home at 11:08 PM and it is no 13° outside. We’re gonna watch some criminal minds call Jeannine
