Wednesday, March 30: A Trip to Harmony California

On my first night of camping I slept pretty well. I did wake up a little stiff and a tad grumpy but I got over that pretty quickly. Thank God for the blowup

mattress because sleeping on the ground would’ve been really hard on me. I got up around 7:30 AM so we got out of the tent and fix myself some cereal and some

chameleon cold brew coffee. Boy was that needed.  We then got set up and get ready to go to Harmony for plein
air painting. Alice was

doing the plein air. Along with your friend Jennifer. I of course was going to take photographs of the place. Well on the way there, we ended up turning up the

wrong road and going to a dog candleput on the way there so some beautiful sites. We were right along top
of some rolling hills and it was very pretty. All the hills are green right now because during the summer and winter they’re brown. We picked a perfect

time to come here. We then entered harmony population 18 and it was such a cute little town it was unbelievably gorgeous out here I just went nuts with the photos.  It’s

such a pretty scenery around here perfect place to paint outdoors. Also we had perfect weather today it’s not completely sunny

but it’s just very high clouds at this point. It’s

basically a 10 minute drive from the campground. It’s really close to the

campground which is cool. It is now 12:04 PM and they actually have a

food truck type place open here. It’s basically a couple hundred yards

of town that’s about it the rest of it is cows and hills. It’s very scenic Alice’s without

a group of people along with her friend it turned her onto this. It’s
now 12:11 PM we’re taking a lunch break we decided to buy to get some food at this little outdoor restaurant called the harmonious moment utterly awesome melts

and reset. Not sure what a reset is but I’m sure I’ll find out on Google or Alice will tell me. I’m getting when I think it’s called Cubano melt. Well, that sandwich
was really pretty tasty had had a lot of ham in it which is predictative of what  Cuban cucucuisine is. I chop down that sandwich pretty good it was very tasty. A

lot of people really liked the sandwiches there. It was good to have a nice

filling lunch in the sunshine. The one with big breast but it wasn’t too bad. The

plein air continued for a little bit. After that Alice and I joined a small group

of folks to hike at the harmony headlands. It’s about a 1.5 mile track

and at the end you get to see the ocean. Well I was up for that

because I’ve never seen anything quite like this and I figured it

would be some good exercise. Well Alice Kimberly and I continued but

another woman stopped going about 1/3 of the way through. She’s having

a rough go of it from the stuff that happened to her. Anyhow we kept on trucking

and it was a long walk it was pretty rocky it was not steep since the past

wiggle around Rollinghills. These hills are big or at least they look big

because there’s no trees or they’re very small trees.  That’s that’s what they have in the West Coast

. Alice keeps telling me that we have the same thing in the East Coast

brittle covered up by trees. It’s hard to fathom that for me. Anyhow

we completed that I can both Alice and I were pretty big. We just sat in the car

caught up with our phones since there was no reception  during the hike.

After we relax a bit we went down to this little town we went to yesterday. We

went to the supermarket pick up extra iced extra diet Cokes and

greens. The guy who helped us out was pretty cool. Alice said some crack about
can we have the receipt in case you need to return the ice. That was really funny. After we did that we came back to the campsite after
we put all the ice back in the ice cooler. We said the web campsite got some more warm clothes on and

headed out back to Harmony to do plein air painting in the evening. It’s
another way of painting because light is a lot different. The wind did pick up and it’s a bit gusty here but it’s very nice. I just tried to get some  chips and some hummus

since I’m a little hungry. We’re gonna have Alice’s pasta salad

when you get back and I’ve already set up the fire pit so we can just lied about

warm fire. It is now 7:07 PM. Alice made a lot of progress on her painting

really fast it’s now 7:41 PM and she’s just trying to beat the darkness

and the sunset was officially about 10 minutes ago. We got here before a lot of people did and I’ve been updating Yesterdays blog posting
and today’s blog

post and I still had some Internet coverage.  Alice’s goal was to paint as much as

she came before it got dark so she did the 90 minute planner chart

challenge even though there wasn’t a 90 minute challenge. More people showed up.

This included a group that Victoria invited who were transients. I heard about that story after

you got back to the tent.  It was all pretty smooth I got a lot of good pictures including

of the sunset. Well it got dark and it was time to pack up. People really

liked Alice’s work. Packed up her stuff and then went to the car and sat in there and warmed up because it was pretty chilly outside for sure for sure. Kimberly

is waiting for us so we got going and headed back to the tent. We then let up
the fire I had some of the famous pasta
salad and it was time to go in the tent and get ready to sleep. I have a feeling I’m not gonna sleep all that great because tent sleeping

I forgot how even with the best equipment it’s really hard to get any sleep or real sleep. It was a really interesting and fun day today. The scenery is absolutely

spectacular. Never seen the area quite like this before. It’s called the central coast. Were approximately 215 miles
north of LA in about 235 miles south of San Francisco. We met some really nice people at this plein air painting group here. This is an awfully
long blog post but a lot happened in this day. First off I got reallyup pretty early in the  morning and there were things going on all day. It was pretty fun
