Sunday September 15: Off to LBI

Hi. I woke up at the Dorchester and we had some cereal and I went ahead and picked up the car at the convention center parking lot. I ended up taking Uber

there just because I was too tired to be walking. Got the car pretty easily. They were very quick at the rental place And then packed our stuff and headed to

the island we ended up going past May turned around and decided to have some chicken slabs for lunch since Dave’s not gonna be ready for us anyway. It’s

very nice outside. Mayo’s had Newsmax on which was you know they loved their conservative stuff out here thank God, the volume was off it’s 12:18 PM. We went down to the

island and Dave was still walking his dog and doing a little bit of shopping with Debbie so we took her sweet time getting down here so we met up with Dave and

Debbie around 2:30 PM and they gave us the run of the place and told us very very instructions on How to work different appliances, such as a TV set and the coffee maker. He gave us a recommendation of several
restaurants, including the pizza place. Anyway, we, after that we watched the Phillies beat the Mets two to one in the bottom of the ninth inning, which is pretty thrilling. This is after they

won last night 6 to 4 after losing four to nothing in the first three innings.  The pizza place we brought he thought of was called slice of heaven. We decided we’d go there

even though the pizza was $38 as the other place we looked at one entrée was

$38 so you know it’s all relative. We had to go in pants and sweatshirts

because it’s , a little bit cool and we have a nice stiff 15 mile an hour

breeze. We got about a 10 to 15 minute walk back to Dave’s place and I think

we’re gonna chill out. It’s really nice little condo. We’re hoping

we can convince Mike to drive down next weekend and I have all three of us hang

out together you know, boys, night, action and stuff, but Dave and hopefully

Wes can convince him otherwise I’ll be going down for the day on Sunday

to Maryland. Either way is fine but it be more fun to go down to Long Beach Island. I would say. Mike does have a longer drive and you know he has chemo every other

weekend so that of course it’s 6:01PM right now.  Anyhow, we decided

that we would take a walk and see what was near Dave’s house we went

to this place called. I think a slice of heaven. It’s an old-school pizza

place that Dave recommended. We figured I’d be the most economical and it

would fill us up. I was very very hungry. Went to the place and

got a large with Sausage and pepperoni and it was very good. Oh my God it was like

unbelievable. So tasty wasn’t cheap but it was cheaper anything

else for dinner for two that’s for sure. After that, we decided we treat ourselves to a custard hut,

special vanilla cone, baby! Went there and then we took a walk to the

beach and it was really nice , a big full moon and over the ocean was pretty

damn cool. Then we went back to Dave’s place and basically

just sat and fell asleep after that we went tried to squeeze
ourselves in a single bed together that it wasn’t working, but eventually I went to another spot and work pretty well . The sunset was really nice like my brothersaid it would be. I took a whole mess

of pictures of the sunset. I can’t include every single one obviously on this blog posting because there’s just too many. But hopefully I picked out the highlighted

ones well.it’s nice time of year on the island not many people around and

low 70° high high 50° temps at night. Can’t beat it with a stick.
