Wednesday August 5: Rain,Humidity & Medicare application

Good morning I got up and had some cereal and then headed on down to Mike’s. I got there a little before 9 AM. It was pouring rain. I checked Uber cost and they wanted to charge up to $45 minimum $28. I checked LIFT and they were looking for a little bit less, but I decided it was OK to walk today. It wasn’t raining quite as hard as it was on Monday. So I got the Mike’s and I was dry. Really glad to have the umbrella though so first thing I did a little bit of cleaning and then it was time to throw in some laundry that was overdue especially the sheet on this bed. While I was doing laundry, I went ahead and went to CVS got him a couple things and a couple scripts. I then had to go to Staples because he needed to pack something for his cousin and that went OK. It’s kind of a longshot today. I applied for Medicare and all they said was that we’ll get back to you. So it’s a good thing that I applied at the earliest day possible because I have a feeling there’s gonna be some bureaucratic bullshit. I have an appointment on Friday, August 28 at the Social Security Office so if there’s some issues I can go there since I have a legitimate appointment. Anyhow, I had an appointment with my therapist and it was pouring rain going to the Therapist. Holy shit I got pretty wet walking from Mike’s to the Therapist. So we talked about things such as family stuff and Divorce stuff. By the time I left the weather cleared up. I got back to Mike’s finished off his laundry. The Spin cycle didn’t work on one of the machines so I had to re-dry one of the loads, but that got done in time and then I went over to the Dorchester took a nap with Mary and  went to Dan’s 75 minute Hot Yoga class. After that we went into yen and that was pretty relaxing. It’s now 8:30 PM. It’s time to head out soon. Well, we had out and navigated Center city towards the CVS 19th and Chestnut went there because Mary had something to pick up that she ordered earlier in the day. It’s quite a navigation getting through Center City. We eventually got back and we talked about the trip  we are taking this coming weekend starting on Friday. We’re heading out to Santa Rosa Airport and then to the cute little Hamlet of Healdsburg California in the wine country. So we started talking about that and Mary was emailing her brother and sister-in-law about certain logistics. We then eventually ordered Indian at Royal Indian and talked to Alice about her trip to Alaska to visit her daughter. She’s taking a train ride bus ride and kayaking trip for a few days she’s very excited to tell us since we were already experts on Alaska, so to speak.

Thursday, September 26: Humid, No Stamp @ Post Office

Today I woke up really tired after not getting enough sleep I think. Anyhow, I got the Mike’s a little bit late. I was very lucky that I caught bus right

away. Once I got the Mike did a little bit of sweeping and then hung out and talked mostly in the beginning and then I decided that I would mail out these cute little postcards and also mail something

for Mike so I figured for a change I would go to the post office since I can get postcards postage stamps instead of paying the full amount for regular stamps. Well when I got there

Holy CRAP!! The post office didn’t have any stamps!   I was left speechless and stupefied for sure. Well, I walked around the CVS to get some drinks and then I went to the check cashing place

cause I didn’t feel like walking all over the 13th and market to find another post office to wait in line. By the time I got back to Mike’s, I was sweating my butt off. I

couldn’t believe I was freaking hot after being cold this morning. Anyway,

finished up yesterday’s blog posting Mike got a bunch of calls and his plugged to his CPAP machine came in so hopefully it will start working. Mike and I decided

to take a walk late. I got him outside around 2:35 PM next I’m gonna go to yoga and
stuff. Well, Mike and I

went for a walk and we ran into Limbo and that was good to see him. We talked for a while then my phone ran out of batteries so I charged it when we came in.

It’s still all get out. It’s now 350. I’m just approaching the studio

for 4 o’clock class with Rob who happens to live the same place as Mike.

Here we go. Well, we went to Rob‘s class and it was human is

all get out. I mean it was really humid, but we made it through the class and it worked

out very well that I got to relax. And sweat for a while. It’s

now about 6 PM I’m charging my phone and updating this blog right now. I just got  a

water got dressed and here we are. We went back to Mary’s and then we

decided to pick up some samosas so we got two samosas and just lie down and relax cause that humidity just knocked

us out along with a very humid 40 to 75 minute hot yoga class. That was very nice then I got myphotograph. I’m gonna enter in the da Vinci alliance exhibit that has to be 10 x 10. It’s now 8 o’clock and I’m hoping I can catch one of these goofy buses up to Fairmount for my CODA meeting.
