Saturday, September 5: sleep, errands, and Yoga

Good day everybody and a glorious state to sleep in till about 11:00 AM. I slept in till 10:30 AM and hit the snooze a few times. I really needed that sleep. It felt great. We got up went to the café. The service was a little slower than normal, but we got our food. It tasted really good. The guy who always sits in his seat was kind of rude, but he’s kind of really bothering so I guess we have to forgive him. Anyhow, we left the café and decided we’d do some errands first we went to the CVS. Mary got some provisions such as TP and Scripps. We then went to Philadelphia runner to see what kind of shorts they had for a two for one sale. Yes they had a two for one sale at Philadelphia runner. We found some Nike shorts that were 60 bucks each I was able to buy 2️⃣ of them for 60 which is a lot more palatable than buying one pair for $60. They even had this Patagonia shorts that were $95 each. Holy shit I was never going to pay that much for shorts. Anyhow, we got the 2️⃣ pairs of shorts which are black and looked pretty good. They all have this in her underwear. I guess to keep your package in place. I actually came in handy during class. Anyway, went to Class and Miah taught the class and we both really like her as a instructor. And she’s back to doing Saturday at 4 PM which is great. Today wasn’t as humid so it was a lot more bearable with the heat. We had two new people bail out during class cause it was too hot. I remember those those days in March 2019 when I first joined the studio holy shit I was gasping. Anyhow, after class we left around 6 PM and came back and I drank 2️⃣ glasses of green smoothie and a glass of iced tea to satiate my thirst. We then decided to order dinner a little early so we could watch the movie the good bad and the ugly which is supposed to be a classic spaghetti western starring Clint Eastwood. It’s a third of a trilogy which starts with a fistful of dollars. Anyway, it’s a 10 PM and we’re gonna get dinner and I’m bringing it back.

Wednesday August 5: Rain,Humidity & Medicare application

Good morning I got up and had some cereal and then headed on down to Mike’s. I got there a little before 9 AM. It was pouring rain. I checked Uber cost and they wanted to charge up to $45 minimum $28. I checked LIFT and they were looking for a little bit less, but I decided it was OK to walk today. It wasn’t raining quite as hard as it was on Monday. So I got the Mike’s and I was dry. Really glad to have the umbrella though so first thing I did a little bit of cleaning and then it was time to throw in some laundry that was overdue especially the sheet on this bed. While I was doing laundry, I went ahead and went to CVS got him a couple things and a couple scripts. I then had to go to Staples because he needed to pack something for his cousin and that went OK. It’s kind of a longshot today. I applied for Medicare and all they said was that we’ll get back to you. So it’s a good thing that I applied at the earliest day possible because I have a feeling there’s gonna be some bureaucratic bullshit. I have an appointment on Friday, August 28 at the Social Security Office so if there’s some issues I can go there since I have a legitimate appointment. Anyhow, I had an appointment with my therapist and it was pouring rain going to the Therapist. Holy shit I got pretty wet walking from Mike’s to the Therapist. So we talked about things such as family stuff and Divorce stuff. By the time I left the weather cleared up. I got back to Mike’s finished off his laundry. The Spin cycle didn’t work on one of the machines so I had to re-dry one of the loads, but that got done in time and then I went over to the Dorchester took a nap with Mary and  went to Dan’s 75 minute Hot Yoga class. After that we went into yen and that was pretty relaxing. It’s now 8:30 PM. It’s time to head out soon. Well, we had out and navigated Center city towards the CVS 19th and Chestnut went there because Mary had something to pick up that she ordered earlier in the day. It’s quite a navigation getting through Center City. We eventually got back and we talked about the trip  we are taking this coming weekend starting on Friday. We’re heading out to Santa Rosa Airport and then to the cute little Hamlet of Healdsburg California in the wine country. So we started talking about that and Mary was emailing her brother and sister-in-law about certain logistics. We then eventually ordered Indian at Royal Indian and talked to Alice about her trip to Alaska to visit her daughter. She’s taking a train ride bus ride and kayaking trip for a few days she’s very excited to tell us since we were already experts on Alaska, so to speak.
