Sunday, August 20: Changes to Face the Strain

I got up this morning and went down to 13th and arch to pick up the car 

because I was the closest place to get a car. After I got the car I came home and tried to take a nap but twice Jehovah’s Witnesses rang my doorbell and woke me up. That doorbell 

could wake up the dead. I can’t stand when people ring my doorbell it just jars the hell out of me. Anyhow I did baguette manage 

to get 20 minutes a nap and that was good. So I called Riddle village told him I was coming around 12:30 PM and then I set out to Riddle 
village but 

before I did that I decided to hit the Td bank in Haverford and took care of some business there real quickly. Believe it or not the Td bank is up until 2 PM on a Sunday in that 

branch. It’s only open till 1 PM on a Saturday.  Anyway, I continued

 on to Riddle village and saw mom and we took our traditional walk 

towards the dog playing. Eric is a banshee, and it’s always him shaded

 there. She was in good spirits. Dave was a Long Beach Island with his daughters, 

and he hung out with Brian Nickel. I was jealous. I’d like to see Ron sometime.

 He lives down there full-time.  Anyhow, I didn’t have time to take a trip to 

anywhere like a Long Beach Island, a Asbury, Park 

or Millville. I instead drove out to see a friend in the suburbs and hung out there for

 a little while. Then I went to Ardmore and retrieve some stuff that I had left there. 

Wednesday, December 15: Retirement Papers Received. West Chester & Ap

I got up and I remembered to weigh myself before eating. It did show a little decrease in my 

weight . I didn’t have my normal cereal water and I had a juicy along with it. I then proceeded to 
finish up a couple reverse referrals I talked on the phone a little 

bit not that much. I didn’t head up a request to print the 51 page document. I just

 had enough paper to do it. The only problem is this file was password-protected and would not

 print. I had to do some finagling and got it to print finally. Well, after print wanted to print all over again. I think it had back up prints in the queue and I thought I’d cancel 

the previous attempts. Anyhow I just unplug the printer. It was sunny today now it’s pretty cloudy outside. It’s not for 10 PM just going out for
a short walk before I got a shower 

shaving cats scepter to Westchester.  I’m always a little afraid that the scheduled bus won’t show up when it was supposed to and then I’ll be stuck taking $35 and catching Uber. It’s not 

much faster because the bus just goes straight up West Chester Pike and that’s where the guy that I’m seeing is located.  Anyhow, I had a 
couple people congratulate me one 

was somebody I didn’t even know that was nice. I got the one pandemic day off and now next week which is that is the 20th I have to make a request 

for the remaining ones. Well I took a walk for a half hour and got home a little later than I wanted to. I did manage to shower and shave and get out of the house with about a minute to spare and Upper Darby to catch the

 104 bus to Westchester. I think I overdressed but it’s better than being under 

dressed that’s all I can say. The bus is only about two minutes late but that made me two minutes 

late. Arrived around 6:02. It’s not too cold outside I think I have a dress 

with a sweat jacket. Went to therapy. And then went to chipotle and got stuff.

Wednesday, December 1, 2021: Work, The Last Month

I got up today and it was OK. I ate my breakfast and got busy with my reports 



to close out activities on people who don’t receive cash anymore. Those reports are such drudgery each reported
 six names the second report had couple of repeat names but I still had to check that I actually closed out the programs/activities. That went
along OK. I talked on the phone for a few minutes to several people 
and had lunch. The Omicron variant identified in U.S.: First case of covid-19 linked to new variant found in California. I didn’t read about it at first because I was busy working. It was a clear day the high was about 50. 

I didn’t really go out out at all. I just have to get this work done. Anyhow it’s now December and I kept trying to call the retirement

 counselor and I couldn’t get a hold of her. I’m not sure what’s gonna 

go on next but I have to keep pressing. This is true especially since it’s 1. December and 2. It’s Thursday tomorrow. I feel like
the time I was trying to sell my house and West Philly kept having to push the realtor 

to do something.  I have course waited to the last moment to run in the shower and sign off from work. I had to get going. I think I took the quickest shower ever. I got showered 

and dressed in 10 minutes that’s a record for me. The bus came about three minutes late but at least I was able to catch the bus and not have to desperately take Uber. That 

session was pretty intense we talked about retirement and what it means 

it and when I thought about it over the last 30 years. We got home and 

relax and then went out to walk about 8:40 PM. Next we are going  to have 

dinner  and then go ahead and eat some dinner. I’m thinking will have a salad and something
to drink. Oh I ended up not having a 
salad but having some Indian food which was really tasty. We then watched heartland and 
and then we decided to relax and turn off the TV. Time crept up on us and I got home around 1:00 AM.
