Saturday, August 22: 9 AM Yoga. Mann Concert

Good day everybody. Mary and I got up around 8 AM to get ready for 9 AM 90 minute class with Tina. It was different going to an early class we rarely do it. Mary was nice enough to go to yoga at this time because I had a concert at the man and I have to be there at 12:30 PM. Anyway, we got ourselves. We had a banana each I also had a yogurt as well. We then went to class which was pretty difficult mostly because of the morning body that I had. I did OK though considering how early it was. Anyway, after class drank lots of water and then we walked to the cafĂ© at breakfast, which was delicious. I drank more water and I then walked back. Found my black shirt and pants bumped into the shelf then almost forgot my keys and just barely got the Uber driver in time. Mary Sue texted that she got all the way up there and then realized she forgot her music. I almost forgot my music as well before I forgot my keys. Anyway, I caught the Uber in the driver is playing some really cool music that mellowed me out. It’s now 1246. I’m learning about at least20 minutes late. Well, turned out it didn’t really matter that I was 20 minutes late. I was actually in time for the warm-ups in this little special room. It was acoustically very nice in there. That’s for sure. It sounded better than the church that we rehearse at so that was cool. I settled in I retype my Ty got a little help getting the collar fixed. Other than that, it was pretty uneventful. We then had a 20 minute break and Mary Sue and I walked around. I picked up an overpriced Pepsi, but I was really thirsty so I needed it and it is a “straw less venue.“ So they give me a top with a straw hole, but I couldn’t use a straw so that was kind of weird and awkward. Mary Sue managed to find out that there was one coffee place of all the vendors out there. This place was based out of Van and it was founded in 2020 it’s called   Many Hands Coffee. So anyway we went down and met everyone down in the seated area and then it was time to get up and go to the backstage and wait for the one Choir that was ahead of us. Well, Choir sang the 3️⃣ pieces that we rehearsed and went pretty well. The audience was small but enthusiastic. In one point we had to pause singing cause there was fire and police alarms roaring through the air here in West Philly at 52nd and Parkside. It went pretty well.  It’s now 3:15 PM. I’ve been sitting here by myself charging up my battery because I was down to 8%. I have to Uber it back to Center city so there was no way I can Uber if the phone happened to be dead. Also, I wanted back right away cause I want to take off this outfit. It’s a little warm a little humid out here. Well, I thought the Choir system me backstage but I guess I missed the memo cause I have no idea where everybody is and I don’t wanna get locked out so I’m just gonna sit here and eventually we will have to hit the stage to sing America the beautiful with some of the other choirs. Well, we just got up there and sang the first lyric of the song instead of the other two lyrics so that was fine. It was just easy and fun. Well wasn’t easy and fun was trying to get a lift to pick me up two drivers canceled so I decided to walk to 51st and Parkside and waited about six minutes for the 40 bus so I’m just gonna take the scenic tour through West philly to get eventually the Center City and then to the Dorchester. Well, it’s now 4:43 PM. We just cruising through parts of Penn campus from 38th to Schuylkill. anyway, I eventually arrived at the Dorchester around 5 PM. I was pretty tired and somewhat sweaty from wearing that black shirt that doesn’t really breathe. Mary and I talked for a while about all different topics. I slipped in something a little more comfortable. Mary showed me video of Bill Maher interviewing hider. Hunter Biden Hunter Biden really held his own more than held his own. He’s very smart. I love it when somebody doesn’t kiss Bill Maher’s ass or chuckle with him with his privileged boomer mentality. He is such a Trump ask her now but pretends he’s not.

Sunday, June 7: Ocean City, Philly, & Millbourne

This morning we got up at 7:45 AM to get ready to go up to Bob’s for breakfast the same place that Mary & I went to for breakfast. We got ready got a close pack and went to Bob’s. I had pancakes and sausage and everyone else enjoyed their breakfast. It’s about 9:14 AM now and we’re getting ready to go leave directly from the restaurant to head back. I have to return the car by noon at the Rental place. Found out Larry‘s daughter wasn’t coming at all as of this morning, but we already made a reservation to get her car out so that’s what we’re gonna do. We’re gonna leave right now as soon as we pay the waitress. Food was very good and we’re going to head out. When we left the restaurant and decided that we were just go ahead and take the AC expressway since it’s the quickest way to get back. We talked a bunch and then I was drinking my super coffee, which was tasty. I also drank my juicy. We slid and smoothly into Smedley Street And dropped off Coleen. After we dropped her off, we drove straight up north Broad Street. Somebody pointed out that my gas cap was open. Fortunately, the gas is covered up anyway, but we closed it went by Mike’s and I dropped Mary off with all the bags plus my box of juicy. Fortune drank a few of them at Larry’s. It’s 11:26 AM I’m about to drop the car keys off at the Hertz which I think closes at noon on Sundays.  Well, I was looking at the location where the booth that we’d be covering would be and dear God it’s out in 20 second in the parkway this year. I guess the vent became too big for downtown so that means I have to hustle it up 22nd St. and then figure out where it is. It’s kind of far compared to where it used to be around Pine Street and 13th St. which is really close and easy to get to by foot. Oh well I just dropped off the car and to Mary’s. I got back from Mary’s and unpacked and decided that a nap would be a good idea so that’s what I did. I drank some iced tea and kept going and put away my clothes and stuff then I was gonna take SEPTA to the parkway while I found out I was 20 minutes off so I tried to take a Lyft and the Lyft driver showed up pretty quickly and they were gonna have her go take a ride on Mark all the way down to 16th and loop back up and I said forget it just drop me off at 22nd as far as you can and that was 22nd Winter Street. Once I got dropped off, the whole thing was blocked off and I forgot that it’s not free. it’s 10 bucks to get in unless you’re a vendor with the wristband. So I was really lucky and I saw these guys sneak around. Getting frisk by security guard with a wand so I just pretended I already had a ticket and the security guard didn’t even look for my wristband so I got in then I had a hard time finding it. It was supposed to be near the Irish flag and it actually is but I guess the heat frustration made it hard to find it is so big here. No wonder they moved out here. The neighborhood is not big enough for all this. But I got here and everybody was cool thank God they had dedicated people that have been here since 9 o’clock to the people here been here since 9 AM. I give them a lot of credit. It’s now 3:30 PM. Well, I spent my time there till 5:35 PM and I decided it was a good time toleave. They already had a bunch of people there and they didn’t need me around so I decided there was a good time to leave so I walked down 22nd market to catch the trolley and the EL to Millbourne. It’s now 5:50 PM. Well, I got back to Millbourne lo and behold. Pat was upstairs from work so I invited him over to have pasta at my place so I cooked up the pasta and he fetched the drinks. I had a Pepsi in there, but man that was pretty warm because the refrigerator is funky because the freezer is all funky. Pat said he would fix it. Anyhow we had dinner and shot the shit and did to catching up. After that, he decided to go to sleep, and I chow down and decided I would take a shower and shave because I was feeling really sweaty. Well, I took a glorious shower and have a really good. Meanwhile, Pat was sleeping in the other room. I left Millbourne around 9 PM and landed in Center City around 10 PM. I then packed and counted up most of my pills and then went to bed pretty tired.
