Tuesday, June 30: Last Day in Poway

Hello boys and girls. Today was a big time relaxing day here in Poway, California. We got up around 11 AM and pretended to sing songs but we didn’t. We had a nice full breakfast of eggs, toast, cereal, and a banana. I was feeling better digestive wise and afterwards I found out that I wasn’t doing errands at 7 AM with Alice.  Alice didn’t wake me up, which was a blessing actually cause that would’ve made me very tired. Anyhow, Mary and I relaxed at home and chilled out for hours on end. It was very nice to just do nothing for a long time that hasn’t happened to me long time anyhow have to relax for a while. Alice finished work and then she and I went out to do a couple errands. One of them was to pick up Becky‘s car but the place was locked and then we went to a car wash and got her car washed. Next, we picked up food at my niece‘s favorite Mexican restaurant in Poway and picked and picked up a bunch of food and came back and ate it. It was very delicious Alice then had to go out and do rounds at the Hospital and Mary and I just hung out and talked for a bit then it was getting after 10 PM and it was time to think about getting the last moment shower and making sure I was packed correctly. The Supreme Court defended the 14th amendment by verdict of 6–3. Three of the conservative wanted to overthrow birthright citizenship they were Thomas, Alito and Goic. And conservatives are acting like the 14th amendment of brand new thing when it’s over 100 years old.

Monday, June 29: 2nd Day in Poway

Good day everybody once again Maryann I slept in till close to noon today. Which is OK cause we had no real plans and I had to deal with certain issues. Anyhow, Mary and I decided we would go shopping at target and a place called famous footwear you know where infamous footwear goes to die! So we we looked around for a while and Mary I think Found the ideal pair where the shore. We took a nice walk back and and we decided that we will be eating as soon as Alice took a shower because she’s gonna go round after we eat dinner by the time she gets back it will be too late to eat at any regular restaurant. Yeah both of us don’t want to be eating at In-N-Out Burger again not that it was horrible, but you don’t wanna do that more than once a week at the most. We talked to Alice and it was decided by sheet rather than rent sheets that we’re gonna cost $150 which is absolutely absurd when you can buy them for $11 online. That’s what Alice did. Mike and Mary and David and Debbie are at the shore at LBI. There were some nice pictures of the sunset they took because it’s three hours or later there than it is here. Phillies are about to blow a 50 lead in or losing 8 to 7 to the pirates. Aaron Nola kind of gagged and or Enfield made an error over through first base wasn’t pretty. We’re gonna go out to a Chinese restaurant in Poway now. What are Chinese food was very good. Had a definite 1970s decor as Alice said. We chow down and we treated Alice to dinner. We then came back. Alice went to work and Mary and I just chilled out for a while. I’m going to really miss this nice weather because the day we come back is when the heat wave starts in Philly where the temperature is gonna be over 100° for two days straight

Sunday, June 28: First Day in Poway

Good day everybody out there in the East Coast, West Coast, and Alaska. We slept in today because of being tired and I had my first good night. Sleep in two days. Turns out Alice wasn’t free today. She found out she had to work. So Maryann and I had breakfast. Mary cooked up a nice batch of eggs, which are very tasty and then I’m just sitting here in the kitchen looking at various social media. I found this on Instagram about a cartoon I watch when I was really young called Kimba the White Lion. God, I haven’t heard that theme song in 50 or 60 years. It’s been forever. I can’t believe I just saw it on Instagram people bring up this old stuff constantly. It’s pretty amazing. Well, we heard from someone back in Philly that the heat wave is about to hit. And I looked on the weather and it’s gonna hit 102° Thursday and Friday this week just in time for us to get back to Philly. Boy we go from 60° in in Alaska to 102°. That’s an endless summer I’ve ever heard ofone. Anyhow, Mary &, I went to the target and we noticed that the Starbucks on the side was closed down because of renovations. We bought more coffee cereal, yogurt, bananas, etc. We came back and Alice was lying down after working so we decided that we would just do takeout rather and go out to dinner. We ordered Indian food, which is very tasty. Then we all was lazy and just did her own thing on her phones and booked, etc. It was a very relaxing day for sure.

Friday, June 26: leaving Talkeetna. Back to Anchorage

Good morning everybody. After not such a great sleep for both of us. We got up checked out of the Latitude 62 and walked towards Conscience Café. We hung out there for a while and that was nice. We had a regular Sunrise sandwiches and coffee. We enjoyed that thoroughly anyhow we took care of mother nature, and then we headed out to the car to do some driving Anchorage at the Puffin Inn, which is about 2️⃣ hours away. Why we drove the 2+ hours straight down to Anchorage and the puffin Inn is fairly far from the rental car rental place which we drove right by on fifth Street. We also drove by the Starbucks we went to and the restaurant the diner we went to which was modern looking with modern prices. We drove them to the puffin Inn and this is the fanciest place. We stayed in. They have a front desk and charge more for the interior parts and then there’s the Motel section which is a little bit cheaper. We’re trying to get settled so we can jump out of here and leave as quickly as possible. We still have to return Hannah stuff that she lent us, get something to eat and put gas in the car so we can drop it off with the full tank. We then rearrange stuff to get ready for tomorrow and we decided we’d relax in our nice cozy little room. Then we’re gonna eat somewhere but I think the Indian restaurant is gonna be a nice delight. We also have to hear from Hannah about when we can drop stuff off at our place. We had borrowed some things like bear spray. Anyhow, after we got organized, Maryann, I just slept because we were both very tired. We both didn’t sleep all that great last night, but we enjoyed the fresh Alaska air for for certain. Any anyhow we invited Hannah and Tory to meet us for dinner she came back to they had already eaten and they invited us to meet him for breakfast. We said 10:30 AM considering we have to fly out tomorrow and return the car. Mary and I are heading headed for the Indian place. I decided to get gas so I don’t have to think about it when I return the car tomorrow. She’s gonna get some water. It’s at 6:42 PM.
