Saturday, February 8: Yoga Clinic

Today we got up and headed on down to the studio by 11 AM or 11 AM class with Lauren. That was a pretty hard class and I noticed

my lower part of my lower back was pretty stiff and sore so I really couldn’t do cover at all. Looks like I’ll have to make an appointment With the massage therapist. Anyway, afterwards, we got

a smoothie Metropolitan diner and it was good and came back and went to the class. There were some really good questions and

the clinic was very enjoyable week that some nice people, etc. etc. afterwards Mary and I got into discussion politics with Chris and it was pretty friendly but intense

at the same time.We then went back to Mary’s and we crash for about an hour and then order some Indian food, which was really good

we watched them mad men, and then Stephen Colbert, which was pretty funny. I watched Stephen Colbert
in a while. He still using his wit to display the absurdity of what we’re dealing with the federal government and the Trump people. Well, tonight is supposed to be ice and stuff outside. It was pretty wet out there when I last went outside to get the Indian food. Tomorrow plan to go to mom’s Mimi and Becky visited last yesterday and haven’t heard how that went but I guess I will if I meet Dave tomorrow.

Saturday, December 14: Yoga, Posture, Class, and food

This morning we got up at 9:30 AM because we have an 11 o’clock hot yoga class and then right after that posture class with Zane. So we had a quick

breakfast got dressed and went down to Hot Yoga , Philadelphia for things 75 minute class. I was very stiff Because that’s how I am in the mornings

with my postures. Class was good though it’s nice being taught by someone different every so often. Things are pretty skilled

instructor that’s for sure. I found I didn’t eat enough for breakfast but made it. I did OK. Next came out 30 minute break between the ending of class and the beginning of the posture clinic. Mary

and I went to Marathon diner and got ourselves a green monster smoothie. That was very tasty for sure. I also took a quick shower at the studio and got ready for the posture class. That posture

class was very informative. She taught us to think about the connections between different postures
and how some of them linked directly

to each other. Everything is based on the core/abdomen abs. We got classroom style instruction, but we also were able to demonstrate poses and watching in real

time as she Made modifications and gave us pointers on what I should do and what other should do. I got very stiff because the room wasn’t hot and we were doing a lot of sitting I loosened up,

however when we did a few posts and she helped me with one particular pose in which reach for your feet and hinge your head down towards the ground. She encouraged me to use my hands to

hang onto my toes to start, which was good advice in my opinion. Next to after this class, we showered up and
went to the formally vegan Chinese restaurant, which is right around the corner from the studio. Merry first got a coffee at the Starbucks the 16th and Chestnut. I was so hungry that food hit the spot. I had Topher

with curry and it was spicy. I enjoyed that and that’s for damn sure.  It’s now 6:11 PM Mary starting to prep the vegetarian chili and I went to the corner

store around the block and got two bottles of seltzer and a Pepsi for myself. I relaxed in my seat well, Mary prepared the vegetarian chili. She got low black

beans and I went around the corner at a place called food and friends, and got a couple cans of black beans to fill out the stock pot of vegetarian chili! Well, we ended up watching

a Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall movie called to have and have not. It was kind of the same plot as Casablanca. There was a bar where everybody hung out exotic music and a love interest and   World War II. It was entertaining. It’s funny so how some of the same actors are in both movies. It’s bogus and Baca.

Sunday, November 3: Breakfast and Yoga

I woke up at the Dorchester. We had breakfast I had cereal and so did Mary. We have a long day of yoga ahead of us so we brought some bananas and figured

we might go to get a smoothie between 11 o’clock class and the posture clinic that we’re going to. I made it on time to the 11 o’clock class and Dan taught a

good class. I think it’s the first time I’ve taken a Sunday morning class in a long time. I definitely felt Sunday vibe because my body was stiff and I was struggling a bit. However, I did enjoy the class.

I drank a lot of water during the class and right after. Mary and I decided to go to the marathon Grill and get what they call a green machine smoothie. Boy that thing hit the spot. Oh my God that hit the spot really good. We

went to the processor clinic and there was about 11 or 12 of us there

it was really well done. We asked questions and got some pretty good advice on various standing postures.

They’re the ones on the most part I struggle with. It’s mainly due

to the balance. We found out during the posture clinic that the NN violin class was postponed

until November 24.That’s the day before Mary and I fly out to

visit Alice in California. I got some good advice on one posture. It’s the posture where you spread your legs out and try to touch your head on the ground and hold your hands underneath

your feet. That’s the ideal pose. afterwards, we decided to order Indian early so we’d
have an earlier evening since tomorrow is a workday. We ended up watching Spotlight, which is the movie about the Catholicpedophile priest discovery in Boston. That later spread to many
major cities in the US and the world. I’ve been called to 21 bus and got home and watched the deck documentary by Michael Moore
called
Fahrenheit 11/9 This move talked about Trump beating Clinton and how we got there. It was quite scary and depressing especially the beginning part Obama did not escape scrutiny in his handling of the Flint Michigan situation this is filmed in 2018.
