Sunday, December 28: Sore Shoulder. Visiting mom.

Hi. I’m writing to you today to report that I didn’t really sleep all that great cause my left shoulder acted up. It started really acting up after class

because I really did struggle and it looked like I got my wing scapula is happening on the left side. It feels really sore. Took an Advil and rubbed some arnica and got a little bit of sleep. Got up went ahead 

and took the 21 bus to the 111 bus to Riddle Village. I met Dave at the bus stop. He picked me up and we both went in there. We caught mom before she went to lunch. She was in bed and one of the nurses 

there got her in the wheelchair and got her ready for lunch. While she’s in the room, Dave and I did talk to her. After that, Dave and I went to the old pizza place and got each two slices of pizza. That was good. 

We shot the shit. I listen to Dave talk about is adventures at his various workplace. That was pretty fun. It’s now 1:42 PM. I just missed the bus. Yes, the buses replacing the trolley again! And it’s 23 minutes 

till the next one, so I’m gonna sit here at Ocean City Coffee have a coffee and write text messages and look at the Internet by the way I did make contact with both of my doctors and to Larry Nussbaum no yoga today probably no yoga tomorrow either. Well, I eventually caught the Media trolley/bus back to Upper Darby. I got back to my place and just mellow it out for a while

Pat agreed to meet for dinner later on. Eagles managed to beat the Buffalo Bills 13–12. The Bills went for two point conversion in the last second and failed to get it thank God. The offense didn’t show up 


in the second half. Defense did however. Pat and I then drove out the cop beach and it’s their last few days left at that location with the American diner used to be at 42nd Chestnut. They’re moving

to 38th and Lancaster Avenue that building is gonna be demolished very soon. That whole block has been made. It’s unbelievable that whole 42nd chestnut Street area head was completely remade. Pat and Ivan



 enjoyed our dinner together and we talked hung out and he had to go and I then was back to being with myself to deal with the sore shoulders that I carry. 

Wednesday, December 24: Shoulder Massage Mike’s & Dinner @ Dave’s

Good day everybody happy Christmas Eve for all those who celebrate. Anyhow, I got up with really stiff shoulder and scapulas stiffness 

and pain. Early this morning Mary discovered that Nick had time open for a massage so I immediately went for that shit heavy and hard. So I signed in at 9 o’clock, but he only had 930 because he’s running late

but I went there and he gave me the most intense massage drive I’ve had I think ever from him because I haven’t been over there in a long time. I had placed a stiffness. I didn’t know it was there. Anyhow 

he recommended ice and Arnica cream. Well, I used a little bit of ice at Mike’s when I got back and Mike’s occupational therapist showed up with no problems, which was good. I then spread the Arctic 

cream, which turned out to be $21. Next time I’ll get the other Arnica, which is a little cheaper, but I gotta keep the paint at bay most mostly it 

was at bay the rest of the day. Anyway, Mary got the food and it turns out they shorted the order on the carrots in the potatoes. I’m gonna push 

hard on the potatoes and see what I can do. I’m going back to the café. It’s 2:20 PM. I decided I’d catch the 42 bus. It was coming up. It’s pretty 

crowded. I was lucky to get a seat. Well, I got to the heart of catering chef heart of catering, and they had the mashed potatoes, all hot and ready for me to pick up no problem no fuss, thank goodness and 

praise the Lord and merry Christmas and happy Festivus and shit. Well, I got to Mary’s house and got changed and wrapped up the presents that I’m bringing to Dave 

and Debbie’s house. We then caught the 21 right on time from 20th St. and Walnut. And then we had time to talk and update my blog. We caught the Media trolley with about five minutes to spare so all the connections worked out as planned. The 21 showing up when Google Maps said it would was a first that rarely ever happens. It was very pleasant, trolley ride as the sun was setting. well, we arrived at Dave and we were the first people here. Mary’s gift of the brie cheese and the crackers and jelly went over really well cause my God I was hungry and I was knocking on those crackers. They were very good. Mary thought so too. We then had all nice conversations Larry Nussbaum came over with his wife and we were trading old war stories about playing rough house playing rough football rough street hockey, etc. We then had dinner which was superb. The salmon was cake had a crust on top of it. I never seen that before. Dave and Debbie both went to some kind of cooking classes so that explains all that. Then then David was telling old war stories about our feral childhood and goddamn Dave was cracking me the hell up I was rolling and Mario was there and she was enjoying it witnessing secondhand the glory of late 70s debauchery and fun. 

Sunday July 6: Visiting Mom with Mary

Hello boys and girls today is Sunday. Mary & I got up around 8:30 AM and quickly grabbed coffee and something to eat and then grabbed an Uber to 69th St. 

and we made the bus with about two minutes to spare the bus there pretty quickly I notified Dave that
 I was going Dave Michael. Mary are all at the shore of respect, 

etc.with the mom and hung out for at least half hour and she was very lucid and talked about our childhood and her father and her mothers and stuff like that. 

It was interesting. Anyhow, after we met, we then went to catch the bus back to 
Philadelphia. And realize that none of the buses we’re going to get us 

directed there so we took an Uber to Ocean City coffee Company and decided to take the trolley back to 69th St. trolley came

 after a little bit And went back to Mary’s and I had a little bit of a lunch which was very good. it was leftover Indian food and then headed back to my place 

to start the festivities. I talked on the phone and then finally got to what I was 

supposed to get to. I didn’t find the documents. I was really looking for by. I found a lot of other

 interesting things from my past. Things like bankruptcy, early recovery, 

and the diary about my retreat experience back in 1981. Mary & I started

 talking about next weekend when we’re gonna go to New York. Period I forgot that I had the cleaning person coming and we postpone it to next Sunday. Mary was invited to go to a baby 
shower on that 

same day. So stay tuned about that. I then did some digging real digging into the box of documents. There’s everything from bankruptcy to DUI to AA, etc. but I saved

 a lot of stuff
