Friday, May 11: Strange Morning w/ Fat Nick

Good morning. We’re fast entering mid-May and the weather is fine and easy. I got

p for sunrise was a little bit late. I was busy changing the title of my previous blog post because I possibly

ould get in trouble with that title. Anyhow I had four text messages before 7 o’clock. One was about

break up, one was from a friend who has a lot of drama, & One was from a dude he says good morning every day. I was on the phone with the one person for a while. That went OK. I went to
sunrise which was a good meeting about the fourth step. I then talk to a dude about our respective knee issues. He’s a very nice fellow. I didn’t boarded   the 21 bus. I sat next to a really cute woman who works for Penn and

inadvertently we started the conversation rest taken a picture outside the window. We then brought up politics. Then this African-American dude o  jumped in and he’s  for Trump. He starts going on about Hillary‘s

mails and Seth Rich being murdered by the Clintons and all that. It’s been a very strange morning. I moved from my seat and moved to the back of the bus! He continued to blabber on the 🚌 blabbering to himself nonstop until he got off on 46th Street!  Well anyhow

and I started work and got social. Actually wasted time talking. I figured I’d celebrate my 30 years of faithful service by doing like others. It wasn’t too bad. I then eventually got to clean up from yesterday.

I was also asked today to put on some A-33 codes for people. The one woman who likes children a lot

is on a two week vacation and it’s a beautiful sunny day here in Philadelphia. I managed to get my mail out before it was sent. This is important since Friday is the last day

of the week and our mail service is very slow. Anyhow, I finished as much as I could. Monday I really got to get a lot done because Tuesday I have these high maintenance people coming in. It was

ood nobody decided to walk in and take up all my time. So anyway after I left work I decided to go straight home. I have a friend who

I pay to clean my place once a month. So I went to the bank

nd got the money for that. It’s something that really does help keep my place from looking like a pigsty &  we get to talk. Well she came about 630 and left about 9 o’clock and after that I got really hungry and child down and crash for the evening.

Tuesday, May 24: Long Ride to Philly

Well  I sped along on my interstate journey back to Philadelphia from Buffalo New York. As midnight turned into 1 AM and 2 AM I
Where Accident Happened
glided along my trip fairly smoothly. The first event that told me that I was in for a
Accident at I-80
long was at interstate 80 from where near Burwick Pennsylvania. Traffic was at a standstill. I was 3 cars back and I then noticed that an 18 wheeler had flipped over.
Getting off I-80 for Final Leg
I hope the driver wasn't injured too badly. Interstate 80
I-76 Expressway
is one drive but getting a little difficult. Due to the construction but also my fatigue with starting
Sunrise
to kick in. The nice thing though with that there was no traffic at all. It was all parks and me for most of the night.
Ready to Crash
At the end of interstate 80 I got on the turnpike which is interstate 476 S. I then could not take driving
Buffalo to Philly
any longer and felt really tired. so I went to a rest stop and put  my seat down and napped for an hour.
Back Home
It was what the doctor ordered believe me. I then eventually got home. I did take pictures of the sunrise.
Spring Arrived While I was Away
I got in the rush-hour getting here. I came home and took off my car and crashed. I got up around 12:45 PM. I
I Drove Many Miles in 1 Week
talked to Sharon for a while and then we decided to go to the Bishop's Collor to have some late lunch.
Loving the SUN!!
Well maybe I'll pride be travel bubble. Check this out. Ken Starr makes surprising comments about Bill Clinton. It's unreal what he said Anyway Sharon and
I want to Bishops Collar we went to all these and standalone

New AC
air-conditioning unit. And I got about 8 dollars in really inexpensive yogurt in there. Sharon was
Going to Drop off Laundry
very happy abou about being able to get an air conditioner that with reasonably priced. After we got the
19th and Chestnut
air-conditioner and eight, I decided I needed a shower and to gather up my dirty clothes while I still have a car. Driving in rush hour is not
Chestnut Street
fun at all. I managed to drop off the laundry and then I

had to fill the gas to make it three-quarters full. I was only 15 minutes late for the rental car. That

would be 6:15 PM. I then walked down 15th St. to catch the EL to 2nd Street. Well that plan fell flat

Time for Tuesday!!!!

Waiting for Bus 7am
Well twice I attempted to start the blog birthday and twice it said it was uploading and never uploaded so afterwords I walked  a friend  to 7th & Market, then  turned around, to 8th and Market to
At Saxby's
catch the EL.I got to work and didn't have a lot of interviewing for his energy not getting my miscellaneous junk and complete 3 reports just in time! I was quite relieved  that reports got done.  I got this message today and I thought it was funny.

"The blog is cute - Sure I can meet up with you this weekend. PS I like the same kind of food you do."

What can say I got the cutest blog in West Philly! Correct that all of Philly ha
Cream in Coffee
ha Ha ha ha!!
It's 6:50 PM I am now going to the Gratitude meeting at 17th and Delancey. It's a nice day all around.
Just before the gratitude I got a message from someone I got this text from someone I know well.
"What do you do when you want to throw your life away?"
I want to say in blunt terms get with(in) the program. I realize however I can't make anybody do anything that they're not prepared to do themselves. As I've heard many times you have to want it not just need it.
7th Street towards Market
I also heard from new friend in Michigan with her own views of  living in a large city. I found it to interesting. She lives in a small town where it is quiet
'Thank you mark from Philly. it was a pleasure meeting you also. your life is so different than mine. i look at your pictures and think damn, i couldn't live that way...in the city with no trees and all those people. i sit here tonight with no sound whatsoever. no nothing. quiet. peaceful. i couldn't live any other way.
Yes I have to agree with her, trees do make a place more livable and quiet!!
It's nice to meet new people from different lands and experiences. I met this friend at the Wheatland Music Festival earlier this month. It was a gas and I hope to come back in Sept 2014!!
I will wrap this up with a comment about 1992. This is the LAST time the Pittsburgh Pirates made the MLB Playoffs.
"This just in: 1992 was a long time ago. In fact, some who are reading this may not have even been alive then. What was happening in 1992? Tom Brady was a sophomore at Serra High School in San Mateo, CA. End of the Road by Boyz II men was the No. 1 song (as if you didn’t know). And Barry Bonds and Kirk Gibson were teammates with the Pittsburgh Pirates. That’s also the last time the Pirates made it to the postseason — before today."
On my front Porch

Boy that does sure bring me back to the carefree days of yore. The movie "American Graffiti" asked the question: "Where were you in '62?" In my Well, 1992 was when Bill Clinton won the presidency. This ENDED a woeful time to be a Democrat with losses with Michael Dukakis,  Walter Mondale and Jimmy Carter getting creamed by Ronald Reagan. I was going back to work for the Welfare Department and I was fired from the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging after 5 painful months. Frankly, I just sucked at that job. It was VERY depressing.  To my  friends born in the early 60's I want to ask the question:
Appel Farm in Elmer 1992
"Where were you in '92??
