Saturday, May 31: Shoulder, Lydia‘s Wedding

This morning we got up. I found out I could not sleep horizontal and slept on the lazy boy, but it was a very unsettling sleep

but I did have dreams. I must’ve slept. Anyway, Mary and I went to the café for breakfast and that was nice very we ran into the pastor of the Holy Trinity Church at 19th and

Walnut. They’re having a flea market sale. It’s very windy and feels cooler than the temperature would indicate the so-called real feel temperature. I just saw

something on YouTube about Veterans Stadium and the Astroturf that caused many of its players to get cancer. This has been reported before, but I never seen a YouTube video about

it. Call Maryann I got ready and we called the Uber and they were 26 bucks and LIFT with $16. We’re going to make it to the wedding with about 5️⃣ minutes to spare. We caught the Uber and they

were charging $26 so I took the LIFT which is about $17. We got to the church for about 10 minutes to spare before the

ceremony started my God that church is beautiful in the inside. We got a seat next to John towards the back. I was near the
aisle so I can get pictures of the procession going down. And I did get some good pictures of the procession going down aisle.
They had nine groomsmen at nine bridesmaids in this wedding. Party was pretty big I think. There was quite a few people there on both sides of the family tree. It was a

full Catholic mass surrounded by a wedding. The priest

was pretty good I think. They exchange vows and John and I took a bunch of pictures

along with Mary. They exchange their wedding vows and and then they

marched out and we were all handed these little sticks with ribbons never replaced

rice to throw at The bride and groom. Bunch of us gathered outside

and we all socialized. I ran into Larry no Spam, Mike Olley, Jack White and

Matt Washwick all in one fell swoop. It was pretty cool. I think I

got some good shots of Lydia and Andrew leaving the church and everybody  the waving their ribbons at them. I had a good front row seat near the official photographer.

We then coordinated our Uber ride with Alice. It started to rain and we are almost getting hit by cars because

there’s a busy street right outside the church. That was a little hairy scary. I mean really hairy scary. Anyhow we got a ride with Allison a big luxury Uber and it took us back to the

Cambria hotel where people are staying. We then all decided to go to the good karma Café where I have gotten coffee before because it’s really close to where Mike

lives. I had an egg and cheese sandwich and a nice lemonade and Mary had something as

well. After we finish hanging out at the good karma Café back to the hotel
and sat and hung out and talked, and I charged my phone which was down to 2% by the time I was
doing all the videos. Went to the reception and they have hors d’oeuvres bus the boatload. There was so much

food. It was quite frightening. It was so much food is unbelievable and
it’s even before the dinner. As I was recording this, some woman walked into the men’s room and the men’s room she kinda laughed and cheapest we went along our way. Anyhow, now 6:01 PM and

I’m going go back in socialize with normal people right now. Well, it’s 9:00 PM

right now. We are all sent downstairs and they started off with a

salad. The wedding party came which included the bridesmaids and gentlemen. Lydia and Andrew came down as their first dance together and then David

made a speech and it was very good and then Heidi made a speech as well as the best man on Andrews side of the family.  Dave and Lydia had a dance and they played Billy Joel’s
Vienna. I’ve not heard that song in 20 years and actually remembered their lyrics. That was really cool that they played that. We
all hung out at the table which is full of Krull’s. By the way, Wes couldn’t

make it cause his sinus infection was knocking him out. He now thinks

he understands how it feels to be me at night. With the bullshit. It’s 9 o’clock and they still haven’t served the dinner yet. I guess it takes a long time to brew up 185 meals. I’m not sure

at this point. Well, right after I wrote
that sentence, the dinner came out. It looked really good. I had salmon. It was very tasty. The thing that I was disappointed that the portion was very small. They had tons of hors d’oeuvres,

but the dinner size was a rather small. Anyhow, the band came on and really danced has dancing up a storm.

They are very good Now I know why you pay real money to get a decent band for your wedding. I was sitting at the “geez“ table with
my siblings and Mary. We were having a good time in our little world at our table. Alice had Marion and I cracking up. Mary and I danced
a bunch and that was really Fun. It
was about 11:30 PM when the band left and that was signal for us to get up going there’s no way I was doing it after party! There is no way. Anyhow, Mary and I just sent Detective an Uber

home because it was pretty cool out there. It doesn’t feel like it feels like late March or early April at Best. It’s supposed to get very hot a week from now but not so far this

week. Well, back to dealing with my shoulder and pain again and tomorrow will try to get together with the siblings and see if we can all visit mom up in Riddle Village tomorrow. It is June 1 after all, and hopefully the weather will reflect that it’s closer to June tApril.
