Sunset Last Night at 44th and Sansom

Takin Care of Business

 This write-up concerns it's self with a certain today October 27th. I first met my sponsor. This was the kind of sponsorship that I needed to move forward from my rut. I met several people from the program as we were having coffee at Saxby's at 20th and Walnut Streets. I then  came home and cooked up some pasta. I was quite hungry and ate quite a bit. I felt very tired and  took a nap. Boy oh boy was that really nice! When I woke up 2 hours later, I dispensed with my recycling.  I decided to do a few unfinished errands.

To the Rooms

I went to the U Do We Do to drop  off laundry  and next went to Fresh Grocer to drop off a bunch of plastic bags for recycling. Next I went  to the Post Office to mail in my fines and restitution that I  owe. I paid a part of it. I was NOT able to get the online payment website to work after several frustrating attempts to do so. To finish my SEPTA trip, I went downtown to meet a friend at a book signing at the book trader. His wife writes horror novels and won an award at the Terror Film Festival that I reported on last week.. We then went to their condo nearby and watched Criminal Minds and Law and Order SVU. We got the the weather report...

At Friend's Condo

As you all know, we here in the East Coast are gonna get whacked by hurricane Sandy. By the time it gets here in late tonite and Monday, it will not be a hurricane BUT will collide with a Nor'easter and cold air to cause a possible Clusterf^%ck!!
Well, Obama still has a slight lead in the Battleground States. Its really too close to call and it seems its a matter of which poll suits my support for the President.
Well, got to meet a friend at the Satellite Coffee now.

Route 55 Visits the Terror Film Festival

Well, good day my faithful ghosts and goblins. Its October and besides the climax..of the Presidential campaign, we have Halloween FAST approaching. Its coming so fast that I will be in Area 51 before I know it.
Yesterday October 31st, I caught up with the last day of the the 2012 Terror Film Festival. The above video is featuring Princess Horror.

Good Movie

She was pretty good at being the MC. Now as many of you know I am not a huge horror movie buff, I am not even a real movie buff. (Love that word buff..) I was invited by Larry my friend to check it out. I got a break on the price since I got there a bit late (as usual) and I got to see 2 of the movies and get apple cider and a cookie. My favorite of the the films I saw was "I Can Smoke"That was a good short for sure. The best part was at the end, it was unexpected. Guess you can see the trailer on you tube or on my Facebook page.I got to see the filmmaker and a few of the actors that are in this flick.

Princes Horror w/Actor

After a break the feature film called "Garden of Hedon" It was funky horror movie where at the end one of the characters has to make a Faustian choice (Hey that's what the filmmaker said!) and quite frankly you will have to read the following to begin to understand.

Like I said earlier, I am not a movie critic nor a horror movie expert. It was cool to expand my horizons.

There were awards handed out after I had go to bed. Veronica Kegel-Giglio won 1st place short film feature length screen play!I bought a book she wrote in 2008 called "Love Lust, Lies and Murder" Her and her husband invited me to attend and I am glad I did. Next Year I will attend more and give a full accounting of the proceedings. I never thought I would attend such an event. Nice people who did an honest job of presenting a well-attended event.
