Sunday, July 5: A Day at the Beaches
Well this morning I slept until about noon because I stayed up till about 3 o’clock in the morning talking to Allison and blocking for about 45 minutes. I had to catch up to yesterday‘s blog. There’s a lot to post because it was a very long and eventful day. It was long even though Allison and Mary slept most of the day off. Anyway, today I woke up had cereal. It was decided on a nice sunny day like this. We’d go to the beach beforehand. We had breakfast outside in the porch was which was really cool spot. Alice did a nice drawing and you could hear people talking. It was very relaxing out there. We then got ourselves together and drove to the beach where I dropped them off and found a parking spot about block and a half two blocks away, but at least it wasn’t all the way down to Dave’s to the condo, which is pretty far from the beach compared to back in the day when we lived in Brant Beach where the island island a lot thinner. Anyhow, we hung out at the beach for about 2 1/2 hours or so I didn’t go in the water was cold and I just wanted to sit and relax and that’s what I did. I enjoyed that very much. Dave and Debbie came by to visit, but we didn’t see the kids even though they were pretty close behind us at one point. Anyhow, we got up and I picked them up and then we came back home where we’re all taking showers. We’re gonna meet Dave and Debbie for dinner. The kids are going to eat separately somewhere else. Turns out House wasn’t up for going out to eat. She was tired. I told Dave and Debra were up for it. They didn’t answer so we went down to La Bamba ourselves. We ran into Dave and Deb and the place was disorganized with un bust tables and the lake. So you decided to go to another place that was about two blocks away and we ended up having Mexican food there instead I forget the name of the place we’ve all enjoyed our dinners and we split it four ways and had good decent conversation. After that we took a couple pictures got the car and then decided we’d watch England versus Mexico. It’s now 10 o’clock and it was a hell of a first half England scored two goals about two minutes apart, which never happens in soccer and then Mexico came right back about three minutes after that so it is 2–1 England.
