Wednesday, August 5: Intense Work Stuff. Exploring My COVID-19 World

Good day everybody it’s another day rolling through during a pandemic. I have fortunately not got sick and neither of anybody close to me been sick. thank goodness I did my usual meeting in the morning Through zoom and then I got

tarted to work after a little bit of a nap. Well I made a faux pas because I made the deadline for this report too late. Are use 10 days instead of seven days. I did get a package of my Nutri-Grain’s

in the mail today. That finishes up my latest Amazon order. In the meantime,

I took a nap during my afternoon break it took a little nap around 6 o’clock. I didn’t talk to on the phone three different times does a person. I talked another time to
a different person. When the conversation
s about going to the shore with a carload of people. Some article that was shared with me so that the

car is safer motive transportation during Covid. That’s got to

bvious since you’re driving by yourself. Anyhow, I saw this very interesting person on the OK stupid. She’s too young for

y taste she’s on she still wants to have kids so that knocks her off of that but she had some really interesting links and just right off the top of her head which I did enjoy reading it. She talked about games and math and quirky things. Shesaid on your profile  Games | Get the MacGuffin! (Note: I am a card in. Games | Get the MacGuffin! Anyhow I went out to the store and

ot some food and it wasn’t a bad day at all. I couldn’t get over how detailed this woman’s profile was. She’s way too

oung but it was fun to look at she’s some kind of math nerd too. She put a link for Gangstagrass. It’s a

luegrass band that plays rap music. It’s pretty funky check it out right here. Anyhow were  umber you going where no one has gone in the last hundred years COVID-19 style. Trump considers voting by mail and evil George Soros Chinese plot to subvert him. Jesus Christmas

Sunday, July 12: Road Trip and Movin in Da Heat

I woke up this morning with my tooth hurting around 7 AM so I decided what the hell I’ll eat breakfast take my Motrin replacement and then go back to sleep. Before I went to sleep, I went

n Facebook and latched on to a friend of a friend I found out was really right-wing and questions vaccines.. I read

and listen to a load right wing talking points. I was in a bad mood and had a teeth toothache so I indulged Man I did go back to sleep I woke up again at 10 AM and decided I

anted to sleep more. Next thing you know it Pat came by at 12:38 PM and was ready to head down and hit the road towards Bridgeton. He talked about how nosy the neighbors are which

s true. I woke up this morning with my tooth hurting around 7 AM so I decided what the hell I’ll eat breakfast,  take my Motrin replacement and then go back to sleep.

Man did I go back to sleep I woke up again at 10 AM and decided I wanted to sleep more. Next thing I knew it Pat came by at 12:38 PM and was ready to head down

and hit the road towards Bridgeton. He talked about how nosy the neighbors are which is true.  We got to Bridgeton and the house we went to they own two goats along with her 3 dogs.

e got to pet the goats and saw the  fenced in area  for the goats that John built. It’s pretty warm

out here I must say.  One of the neighbors has a bunch of cows that we took a look at and the other neighbor has

ll kinds of animals. They’ve been at their place for over 10 years. Hard to believe.  Densie and I went back to Maggie’s

place to start loading in the small items in her car. Maggie wasn’t there she was with the kids at some water sports

park.  We first loaded up the small stuff to fit into Densie‘s car and then kept

oing it for a while. Pat and Jon showed up at the van we’re on

ble to get the back lock to open so everything had to be slept in through

he side. We took out the shelving that was built into the truck and loaded in

things like a box spring and mattress etc. Once we load it up we headed to Ferguson

Court. That’s the new senior place where she’s moving to. It’s a nice

unassuming little development. They’re all regular looking houses not funky

high-rises or anything like that. We loaded up a bunch of stuff

in the house one of the things with the frame for the bed and they’re barely fit

n the space provided but it fit by about a quarter of an inch that was

uite a relief. We also didn’t have to move the bedframe from Maggie’s place because

it was going to be very hard to take apart if and we had to carry the whole thing down but we didn’t thank God for that. Well we moved all the stuff to the Ferguson court. It’s a nice little bedroom community. The rental office is right there about a half block away. It seems like a nice place it’s not a high-rise. It’s a studio or whatever they call it nowadays. It was very clean inside the front porch area needs a scrubbing but it’s not horrible at all. It’s nice she doesn’t have to live in a high-rise she’s close to the ground and it seems safe there. It’s right across from the wealthy area of Union Lake so has some safety to it.

Holloween 2012

Halloween 2012 it was a bit of a long day. It was my first day back from a unexpected four-day weekend. After work, I took a nap. Next I went to a good group session and then hung out with Alicia and Pat. I was again obsessing about how I ain't doing AA the way I should. Must stop being so hard on myself. Today  is November 1 all souls day and  I did not go to the Sunrise  meeting, I feel I went from the " Pink Cloud" to the dark shadows seemingly about once every week or so. I think this song by the Beatles "Yesterday" (not a fave for sure) sums it up pretty well:
Off the "Pink Cloud"

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly, I'm not half to man I used to be,
There's a shadow hanging over me.
Oh, yesterday came suddenly.

Why she had to go I don't know she wouldn't say.
I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday.

Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play.
Now I need a place to hide away.
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Walking  Out
I suppose that is the way its has to be for me. Glad I have a good group and friends to keep me sane and not do anything goofy or stupid. Cause in my head there is stupid and ghetto all over.
The weather has cooled off significantly after the hurricane. The Indian Summer of October was blown away. I am hopefully will be able to go to LBI with a old supervisor friend of mine. I saw on CNN the devastation that Sandy reeked  on Seaside Heights and the entire shore. I have a new appreciation for NJ Governor Chris Christie. I may not always agree with him  and he can be a bully but in a crisis he does stand up and takes care of business.
Jon Stewart showed how government can work when there is no political Bullsh..
Empty
Leaving
I am just getting up from a nap to finish this report and preclude from needing a nap later after I finish with the Welfare Wakka. This way, I do not need a nap before my group session and do not nod off during the session like I have in the past. I do notice that my contact with others waxes and wanes. Do you , my readers have that happen to you. I thought at age 50 (only till Sunday :) ) this did not happen, then again I am not your typical 50 year old man. You see I do not have a plan, NO wait, I certainly do and that is STAY SOBER!! I like to think that all the other B.S will straighten out once the booze is washed out from my body. I am told it takes about 18 months for all of it to excrete from the body and most of all the brain!!
Well boys and girls, time to go. Please feel free to comment. I might have to say something political and/or inflammatory like I have done before.
Toodles my fiends.

October 19 Bus Trip to Cape May.

The Bus
Outside the Diner
On Friday Oct 19th I was at at the Walter Rand Transportation Center (WRTC).My friend and I met here at the WRTC to catch the NJ Transit Route 315 bus  to take the 315 bus towards Cape May to Rio Grande and then we will then turn around and take 315 back to Camden and we hung out Frankie and I hung out with Bill who drove the bus and Here are photos of the experience. the weather had improved after the all-day rain earlier in the day. We are now in Turnersville, our fort stop on Rt 42. There is an accident on Greentree but we cleared it in no time?
Route 42 is a boring Jersey road. So the writing will stop
Bill
The bus arrived in Mays Landing on Route 50 and IT was getting dark out. There are very few folks on the bus
Outside the Bus Station
We went though Seaville on Route 9 and went to the Rio Grande Diner. It was nice clean place to eat. The chicken cheese steak was yummy!
Rio Grande Diner
It was worth the wait! My friend and I stayed at the diner an hour and 20 min. We then caught the 313 bus back towards Camden. The route number changed from the Rt 315 to the 313 since the 313 takes Route 47 past Millville, Glassboro and the like. My friend got off the bus in Vineland. I then rested till I arrived in Camden at 1:11am. I got the PATCO to 8th and Market. The EL was closed for the shuttle bus so I walked to Walnut to catch the 21 or 42. I waited for 40 min and 30 taxis later when the 21 DID show up. It got VERY crowded and I arrived home at 2:30 am!. I was a tired man for sure. It was  a fun time.  Hope to see you reading this blog
