Hi there it’s Saturday, February 14 is Valentine’s Day but most of all it is my mom‘s funeral today. She lived on 96 years old. Mary and I got up around 7:30 AM. I went out to Montreal spread bakery and nobody was there. I got two coffees and went to the minimart and got two sandwiches. I got dressed. Mary took a shower and it’s now 8:55 AM and I’m waiting for Mary to come with her phone. And I don’t think she can
find her phone so I’m going call her. We have to be at church at 9:15. Well, we actually made the church by around 9:17 AM. Will you made a really good pace with going down? I-76 and I-95. It was pretty amazing. Brought over the particle board with the pictures and there were 2️⃣ guys there at the church we parked near nice black ice & managed not to slip on that. The service was pretty good Dave Alice did a pretty goodjob of getting speakers, etc. on the program. John and I earlier had an adventure trying to find a bathroom that was interesting. It was funny. So we found out various a bathroom went to church. Anyway, service was well fought out and very emotional. We were the pallbearers David, John, Mike, and myself. Have afterwards the receptionist held at Dave’s club Spring Haven golf club. Everybody hung out and shot the shit, etc.. it was nice to see everybody. Folks you’re gonna meet at some bar but no decisions for me. It took the family about an hour and a half to decide that they were
going out but by that time I just wanted to go home and so did Mary. Went back to the Dorchester ordered Indian and watched Law and order. It was very comforting. Tomorrow our plans to go to Long Beach Island for a little road trip and getaway for the burial on Monday. It was good to see the whole family again. The reception was very very nice. The club was a perfect spot for it. If you want my opinion and I know everybody wants my opinion you see. The weather held off and didn’t rain or snow or blow or go down to 15° and all that other kind of East Coast weather in February has to offer for us and our kin.
Good day everybody. Today’s gonna be a busy one. I first got the Mike’s around 9 AM hung out a little bit throughout the trash and then went and
got a script for him at the private pharmacy. That went over pretty well. Grandpa was slow as usual. I then went to Td bank. I then had to look around for rental cars, cause we’re gonna need a car to scoot around from Media to Philly to holy supplier cemetery up in Cheltenham and all around between today and Monday afternoon. I already told Work I was taking off Monday. It’s now 12:03 PM I’m about to meet Coleen and Mary at the marathon diner for lunch. Then right after that I am planning to go to the airport via Uber to pick up my car rental because there is no other cars available except at the airport whenone rents last minute. I think the car rental places just don’t have enough cars and they figured it’s OK to run out of cars, but I guess that’s the costof doing business. Anyway, I decided to cut the airport line because Uber was gonna charge me anywhere from35 to 45 bucks plus a tip to get me there so I just took the Uber to 30th St., Station and then caught the airport line around 2 PM and then took the train and then finally picked up the car around 3 o’clock. It’s 3:32 PM. I’m about to arrive at the Dorchester. All right, it’s now 4:02 PM. We’re getting ready to take the stuff down to the Rental Car Jesus. well, I arrived at the Dorchester and Mary came down and brought down the poster board that we’re bringing to Dave’s. That posterboard is pretty fantastic. I must say. Anyhow, we got to Dave’s and ended up that Mary and I took some stuff downstairs from the upstairsand I made sure the Mary didn’t bump her head like I did the other day. Anyhow, we put the pictures up in a random order which seemed to work pretty well. Their double stick tape wasn’t that effective, but we learned how to use it and most of the pictures to manage to stay up. Later on , we put the pictures up in a random order which seemed to work pretty well. They’re double stick tape wasn’t that effective, but we learned how to use it and most of the pictures to manage to stay up. A little bit later on other folks such as Alice came over and we watched Alice’s slideshow, which is really well done. She
dug up some really old pictures from early mom days and the wedding of mom and dad. They were quite fascinating. I must say.
