Friday, June 12: Target Starbucks, Shabbat Dinner and Yahtzee

Good day everybody today is the last full day. We’re spending in Poway California. Mary met up with Becky and Ned her husband and we hung out with them for a while and Alice was at work and we hung out with her as well. After that, I had some cereal and then Mary and I headed off to the hangout of our choice Starbucks at the target. They have really good iced coffee and they have this one table we can sit in. We are very lucky the tables never fool. We got to sit in it all the time. Went there and we hung out there for about two hours where we both drank two iced coffees and they’re really strong, but they’re very good especially for me when I add milk to it. The employees are getting to know us I went to the men’s room he’s like hey dude you spend more time here than I do and he’s a target employee so we were getting pretty well known just sitting there shooting thisYear blogging and planning last-minute changes in our Alaska trip tidying up loose and such as the Car Rental right now Mary and I are pretty caffeinated so we’re gonna go take a walk. It’s 2:49 PM. We have to be back at the house by six for Shabbat dinner. I also talked to Wes and told about the mixup that Alice thought that Wes was coming towards San Diego not to Long Beach Island in two weeks. It was all pretty silly. Well, we hung out for a while and we went outside to hang out. Mimi came over and Alice shared a little card that you wrote to mom for the afterlife was very nice. She also ordered the Indian food we’re gonna have the Shabbat tonight at 6:30. Dinner was very excellent. We had all kinds of Indian food provided by Alice. Indian foods just damn excellent and then we had ice cream sundaes made up by Alice and her kids. The Sundays were very good. Then we played a game of Yahtzee, which I’ve never played in my life. I’ve seen the commercials when I was a kid. I’m glad they chose this game because strategy, but a lot of luck which helped me out and I actually won this game. So I’m gonna frame the winning thing assuming it makes it through the Alaska trip in one piece. I don’t win games like this very often so it was fun. We had a good time. Mitch coaching us really helped. Well after that, we all relax and then it was time for us to get ready pack and that’s what we did. We gotta get up very early tomorrow morning for a flight to Anchorage Alaska.

Saturday, July 26: Becky‘s Wedding

Today we woke up around 10:00 AM. I didn’t want to catch you since it was all set up for them wedding party tomorrow. So we ordered out


 McDonald’s egg McMuffins but then when it came through DoorDash, the order was all fucked up the coffee and spilled into the 
bag and they forgot two out of the three sandwiches

 so I canceled that order and we ended up ordering from Einstein’s Bagels and those breakfast sandwiches were so much better on real bagels anyway so we lucked

 out there. We then relax for a moment and Alice was cooking up. It was preparing up a storm and then her sink got clogged up the trash disposal got clogged up and Alice had to find a plumber. 

She called for plumbers and found a plumber who came in pretty quickly. He ended
up Finding out there was a metal straw or 

plastic straw and a pipe cleaner device inside the pipe. So that worked out well then I finally got dressed after helping the plumber and we split. It’s now 1:53 PM and we 

supposed to be there around 1 o’clock. We’re gonna be meeting them at a hotel. The wedding starts at 5:00 PM, but we were supposed to meet them at 1 o’clock actually, we’re not to meet 

them. Alice is gonna meet them so we finally arrived and I went to hang out with her daughters and we had an hour to kill so we went to the Arco minimart which doesn’t exist in Philadelphia. Got some drinks. There’s really not much happening on this area no hip and groovy coffee houses or anything so we just killed time I found a bathroom at the McDonald’s and then went back to meet Alice. Well, Alice took about 25 minutes longer than we expected. And she got a parking ticket at the parking spot. She came back and she didn’t realize the area was as low budget as it was but we made it by. We then decided we would not leave the car there and drive up and see if we could find parking and we found a really nice parking spot within a three minute walk of the venue. The venue is very casual and Mary and I went to a Lebanese place to get something to eat becausethe food is very light after the wedding so we wanted something to fill us up is now 434 we have about 20 minutes at most to eat and run to the wedding. 

Tuesday, September 25: Discomfort and Rain

It’s another overcast drizzly day in the city of brotherly love.

 I don’t have a headache but my neck and upper back are causing quite a bit of discomfort. Also my left hand seems to be a little bit 
  strained as well. But that is really nothing compared to the mental discomfort and not being able to share the meeting. It was because it was real 

 ositive no longer went on the more sad I got knowing that I probably wasn’t going to share. I really could go for a good massage around the neck because it’s so tied up there

 it actually hurts. Anyway it’s 8:57 AM trying to pop the 

Motrin and press on with work which never ends. It’s kind a like the rain this year. Well I got into work and just power through 
my employment. I saw a number of people 

 oday couple walk-ins and the like I felt a little bit better but it got worse towards the end. I was invited to shop
stewards meeting and when and then browse

 my email and realize there was a GSR meeting and unfortunately I

 couldn’t stay for their union meeting nor the GSR meeting
 I walked to the Broad Street line from Spring Garden Street and 

 ame home ate for an hour went to bed. Hope tomorrow will be a little less 
uncomfortable in more ways than one. I guess this is getting  older and stuff. At least I’m going 

 o bed earlier pretty dog there
