Good day everybody!! Mary @ I woke up around 10:30 AM. We decided not to take a chance so we went to a local Starbucks about 5 miles away and got ourselves coffee and one of those delicious breakfast sandwiches they serve. We were worried that at the bakery that we were going to meet Hannah and Story wouldn’t have any food by the time we got there. We had no idea what this place was gonna be like so we got that which is a very good move considering we Met them at the place and they had a big long line. We discovered that they had a shorter line just to get coffee without the food. That was a pretty good arrangement they had so we got coffee actually Mary got a different kind of drink, but I forgot what it was. Anyway we hung out there and talked for quite a while and enjoy it then it was time to head out and we got a coffee to go, and Mary got another little snack and one behind the counter who was from Philadelphia and it was cool. She was very nice. After that, we said goodbye to them and made arrangements for them to stop by our hotel to drop off some things like bug spray, etc. We’re gonna do and take a walk first Mary wanted her nails done so we got we’re doing that now. It’s now 2:42 PM and then we’re gonna do errands pick up bottled water in the lake. and while she’s getting her nails done, there’s a bookstore right next-door. It’s an old-school bookstore. It’s like Barnes & Noble, but without all the commercial stuff pretty deep far back and I found some cool stuff to look at. I am. After we did that we decided we’d try to find a place to get some provisions. We ended up finding a place called Fred Mayer. Mary said she went to this place 50 years ago back when she was in Portland Oregon. So I went there in this place had a supermarket attached to other different kinds of stores. Anyhow, we went shopping there picked up provisions and they have more super coffee than any other store I’ve seen in recent memory. We picked up a banana, bananas and bug spray and then I picked up two super coffees. We then went hiking to Point Worozof Park. It was a cool looking place. We saw airplanes flying overhead. We met two really nice gentlemen who took pictures of us and we did a little bit of walking for a little bit of exercise. Then we headed back to the hotel and we found out our card key was not working so we got it replaced or no we got it re-magnetized. After that, Mary took a shower and I chilled out looking up what I did 234 years ago it was very interesting. Mimi had a graduation party three years ago and I also did a lot of traveling that June 2023. We went to the taste of India for Indian and then that was really good. We enjoyed very much then we headed to the Potter Marsh Wildlife Viewing Boardwalk, which was wonderful. It was breathtaking views and we got so many beautiful pictures and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. I couldn’t believe how nice it was. We did have to leave because it was really gusty and cold. But we enjoyed ourselves. It’s now 10:43 PM and still light outside. Tomorrow we’re checking out of Anchorage and heading towards Takena. We’re going to be staying four days at the Latitude 62. In the meantime we’re gonna try to see Wasilla tomorrow the home of Sarah Pain. That oughta be interesting. I also heard it was pretty also Hannah was very generous to lend us some winter gear for the expected cold temperatures. It’s now almost 11 PM.
