Saturday, June 7:Havertown and Plumsteadville

Hi! Well, we got up and Mary made breakfast while she was making breakfast. I went out to the café and got some coffee. After a little difficulty,
did get the coffee and came back. We then went to the Internet rabbit hole. We

just thought of the song one
to the line by Brewer and Shipley. I did not

know the song was sung by them. I just remember having the 45 as a

kid. Then once you went down that rabbit hole somehow we found out that on Wikipedia that

Lawrence Welk covered the song and we had to go there and it was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen!!

hilarious as all hell oh my God Grab your Gummies oh my God it was absolutely

absurd! Anyhow, we decided to take an Uber to pick up the car at 11:20 South Broad Street, which is a budget Rent-A-Car. It’s still drizzling outside. It’s not hard rain just a drizzle which is

probably gonna go on most of the day wherever you might be today. But we’re at the Rental Car Pl. and there’s quite a few people in front of us. Some dude in

front of us having credit card trouble. Never seen that before that’s for sure so it’s 12:24 PM anyway, we got the rental car and decided we’d go to Ardmore and take the path and I used to always take

during the pandemic. It’s a private drive for SEPTA only. So we kept walking past my normal point and there was some kind of event in festival going on we found out it was the Havertown Irish

festival. It’s really cute and the sun started coming out. Just we got here. It’s a real wholesome family event, but they do sell booze here which shouldn’t be surprised in anyone who knows anything.

But that’s some nice people and walked all the way to Eagle Road. I thought of Eagle Pizza cause I guess I’m hungry. That pizza was great. Anyhow, I’ll
the rain held off and actually the sun did come out later on while we’re at the parade. We then walked back to the car along the path and drove out to

Plumsteadville. That was a pretty long drive. It’s about an hour and five minutes. We avoided tolls because when used the tolls on a rental car you get charged Rental

Car fees on top of the toll fees. I found out the hard way. Anyhow, we got there, and it was a suburbia of paradise in the backyard. We talked to a couple people that Mary
knew. This one neighbor tried to cause

a fuss because I was close to his bumper and actually threatened to call the police, but the host
of the cookout calm things down and I move the car.

The guy was kind of a prick, but I kept my cool. I wasn’t feeling too cool though during it, but I kept it  together. I just didn’t want to need. Didn’t need any trouble. Anyhow, we hung

out there till about 8:15 PM. The food was very good. They had it catered. Now I know how the people in suburbia I live and and go about their business. It’s a different world from the

world I live in for sure. It was weird when somebody else was a Rental Car
really loud like it was something

to be embarrassed about, but hell I don’t need a car I live in the middle of the city and I can always rent a car. Speaking of which has decided to stop being a member of Zipcar cause I never use it. If I. want a short trip I just called Uber and I don’t have a nine month nine dollar a month fee on top of that.

Anyway, we got back to Mary’s watch some late night, comedians such

as Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel and others. I got really tired and then

we crashed. Who is an eventful day? That’s for sure. Ongoing

I am in the beginning stages of trying to recover of what the hell I did with

myself in my shoulders both left and right and  my right scapula. It is amazing how human beings get really comfortable in their routines while other routines of other so-called “normal“ people look really different and oddly uncomfortable. Anyway, that’s the way the world is special with Trump and his goons from ice going after Los Angeles.
