Sunday, September 28: Armstrong State Forest & Guerneville

Good day everybody today is the post wedding hang out and do stuff day. Mary & I got up And said goodbye to the other people staying over. They are flying out from San Francisco today. We had

breakfast at the same place as yesterday called…. Anyway, I had I believe wavers rancheros which is absolutely delectable. That place is really decent. Anyhow, Mary and myself

both thought we needed a massage and we also had some stomach issues so we went to CVS got something

to drink and got something for our stomachs. We then walked to the massage place and made up an

appointment for tomorrow at noon. We went to visit Armstrong State Forest today. We were gonna try to fit both in but good thing we didn’t. The forest was about 40 minutes away. We

drove and it was a pretty drive. Once you got to the forest, we got a map and I bought a new hat because we just both decided that the Phillies hat wasn’t gonna come back. We had asked the people

the restaurant if they seen a red hat. That hat was pretty worn out. I worn it all the time so it had wear and tear on it. It’s now 3:17 PM. We just finished visiting the forest news got through the Eagles hung

onto to win they were winning 26 to 7 and 34 to 27 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Phillies won their last game on a walkoff and the Mets and the Reds both lost so I think the Mets are out

of the playoffs cause they had a better head to head record. Anyhow, we decided to go to Kernersville at it’s a cute little town Little Main Street etc. We found this place called Coffee bizarre which

has a little bit of everything alcohol soft drinks, coffee, different types of food, etc. Mary’s stomach‘s acting up a little bit we’re just gonna sit here and chill out for a little while. It closes at five. It’s

now 4:03 PM so we have time to sit until they close. This town is definitely funky with a capital FUNCKY funky funky funky. This little store which is off of Armstrong woods has all kinds

of stuff from alcohol to smoothies. We enjoyed just hanging around and waiting for things to happen. I have to hang out there for a while. We noticed that the town here is very odd. It’s sort of a funky vibe to it. Working

class, but yet homes are selling for million to 2 million in some places in this town of Guerneville. Anyhow, when we left, we saw this funky little bus, Ted said peace

on the front of it and an old guy with a large beard and a funky woman came out. It was like something out of Woodstock or Ken Kasey‘s Merry Prankster‘s from

the 60s. I was a little too young to hang out with them, but I did recall reading about them in my college years. This town definitely felt some kind of northern

California vibe even though I’ve never been to Northern California. I definitely felt the northern California vibe

here. It was a little different than you know southern California for sure. I thought it was very fun. I think Mary would agree if I asked her on my Internet phone like I do. Anyhow, afterwards, we were both tired.
