Saturday, November 30: Leaving Joshua Tree

I got up around 7:25 AM and slowly woke up and realized we

were not gonna be able to make it to any of our wish destinations and get back to the rental car place by 11:30 AM. We found a nice really nice breakfast place

nearby. Just before we ordered we had I had an incident with these woman who was like doing make up and breathing down my neck as she was checking out.

I had videotape the incident and she forced me to erase it since she “was a lawyer.“ The

breakfast itself was actually the staff was very empathetic to what I

just been through through this jerk off. anyhow, the food was delicious and we then headed on out to Poway. We made to the rental place with 10 minutes to

spare. I even had time to put gas in. Gas in Poway is $.42 more expensive
than the place. I first got gas. Glad I got the
gas when I did anyhow we got back. Alice wasn’t home and we were going to

go to our place. We decided that I was too late to go. we were locked out of Alice so

we hung out in front of our house and chilled out for a while. We then

decided to go to Starbucks to use their facilities and Mary got a coffee. We then went

to target and got some food. Alice called. We came back and Alice

warmed up some chicken wings that were left over from Thanksgiving and chow

down on those bad boys and I had three yogurts and eat a whole

bag of grapes. Mary and I then crashed hard for about an hour and 10 minutes. We then

were awakened and we decided to go to the core power yoga

with Alice Mary and I were so damn sleepy. It took a lot of effort to get ready

but we got ready and went to class. It’s now 6:50 PM and we’re not

going out to an Ethiopian restaurant and meeting her daughter Mimi. Well, that

Ethiopian restaurant was absolutely delicious. I chowed down

so good on that Ethiopian food. Oh my God it was so tasty. I hadn’t eaten at Ethiopian
restaurant in ages. After that, we walked around the university area

and everyone else got ice cream, but I wasn’t in the mood and then we dropped
off Mimi and came back to Alice‘s place

where Amazon at all already delivered the goods and then we talked about stuffsome fun some not so fun but it was good talking to Alice and Mary. We came back home and started
to watch another British show and it was suddenly very cold out and cold inside Alice’s place. Midnight rolled around and it was decided that it was time to go to bed and we did that and it was good. Tomorrow we’re gonna sleep in and that should be good too

Friday, November 29: Off to Joshua Tree

Today was the day we were finally gonna do our road trip out to

Joshua tree national Park. We first had to get ready by having some breakfast getting packed and called Uber. On the way

to Uber the cat got out but we are OK. Alice was very chill about it. Alice is going kayaking while  we’re on our trip so we went on our trip and it’s

now 12:52 PM. We’re in a little town called.

Borrego Springs, California. The car started smelling a little funny

we checked on it and it seems to be OK. We are taking our sweet time and I’m

glad we are staying at a hotel because it would be tough turning around. We

can keep the car we have to get the car back by the rental place by 11:30 tomorrow morning. Otherwise

it’s a 3️⃣ day rental instead of a   1️⃣ day rental. This is because they’re

close on Sunday and I’ll have to return it Monday. well on our way to Joshua tree

decide to stop at the salt and sea area. We didn’t go to the area. I went

to last time but we went to Salton city. It’s an actual city there. While

we’re there, we met a really nice lady who gave us the lowdown on

when people show up and what they do while they’re there such as hang gliding with these motorized fans on their backs. He said that it’s quiet now, but there’s gonna be a bunch of people coming here between in the next   2️⃣.

weeks This is the height of the vacation time for people in the trailers end motorhomes. We learned that there’s there’s a ton of lithium under lithium under the salt and sea. One company

is trying to make Buco bucks out of extracting uranium lithium for car batteries for EV cars. That was very interesting. She was really nice and she has a cool looking

trailer and she goes all over the place and has a place in LA as well. Mary commented that it smelled a little like sulfur, but it was not really as hideous odor from

the time. My sister and I went there. I think we went on the other side. It was also summertime which made the temperature a lot hotter. It was very mild and comfortable today

at the Salton Sea area. so we left these Sultan city area 3:30 PM and got to Joshua tree approximately 4:15 PM before sunset. I went to the visitor center and asked questions and bought

a bunch of swag for souvenirs. They were very nice there and gave us a lowdown of where skull rock is. That’s

the one place I was at years ago when I last went here. This time

we got there and it was packed with huge amount of kids.  It looked like

there are a lot of overseas tourist today. We got some nice sunset pictures

and we got to see skull rock which was really good. We then left and got back

to the hotel and checked in the room is nice and small and very

clean. It’s very basic but good enough for us. We had to crank up the heat and it warmed up

pretty quickly. Then we decided we would go to Sam’s Indian

food and pizza.🍕. Well, we got there around 7 PM and we didn’t get our dinner till about

8:15 PM and we were so starving. We were warned on the yelp reviews

that the food’s good but the service is slow and they were right. We got there. The

restaurant was packed by the time we left with the last one of the  2️⃣ tables

to leave. The food was really delicious. I just gobbled that stuff up and so did
Mary. Also, the restaurant was not very

warm like they didn’t have any heat and it’s 45° out tonight we then went back to
the motel, which was nice and warm

and relaxed. Oh, we got back to the hotel heated all it up. Well, we decided that we
wouldn’t do anything and we would just

chill out and get ready to sleep. We talked about possibly going to Bombay Beach or Palm Springs. We tried to figure out how earlier in the morning

we’d have to wake up for all those things. It appears it’s gonna be pretty
damn
early we thought about it. We decided to stick with Palm Springs so

we’ll see if we can go to Palm Springs then go straight back to the rental car

place by 11:30 AM tomorrow morning. It’s really good to go back to Joshua tree. I’m gonna check out some other national parks one day that’s for sure.
