Sunday, November 9: Leaving Ocean Grove, & Asbury Park

Good day everybody day we woke up at the beach liner and we were both very hungry. I took a quick shower and we headed over to Frank’s stallion restaurant to eat some old-fashioned breakfast. The food,

the tastiest around. Like everything else the price is gone up, but it was still good. Anyhow, today is windy or and cloudy than yesterday. It’s also a

little bit cooler. I had pancakes and sausage and Mary got to breakfast special. The sausage links were good. They were recommended by the people sitting next to us. It’s now 12 noon. We’re getting ready to

leave the restaurant and go back to Ocean Grove and do a little browsing before we drive back to Philadelphia. We left the restaurant and went to a

place that used to be called the tides hotel that Mary stayed at as a boarding house at one point in the 70s. It’s now called the Saint Laurent. We browsed

inside and we talked to the guy at the office and he said the price is range from 180 to 300 during winter and higher in the summer but it’s actually cheap cheaper than the place. We stayed at at Ocean Grove

and this place is newly renovated as of 2021. It’s a really nice place. Call Mary and I then went to a store called the Emporium in Ocean Grove

and she got some gloves. We then headed back towards Philadelphia and discovered we’re going to be taken through route one

through Morrisville and Trenton for some reason instead of 295 but we just followed her on through and then found a pizza place called La Villa and we decided to stop for a pizza slice and a break from

the pouring rain that we experienced on the first part of this trip. Right now the rain is stopped for the time being we’re about to enter Route 1️⃣ South. Well, we took route 1 to 295 with Link to I 95 S. I figured out why

we were taking that scenic route because when we crossed the bridge we didn’t pay any toll to cross from Trenton to Morrisville so that’s exactly why to avoid tolls. I figured it out why we’re on I 95.

It’s now 4:12 PM. The rain is stopped. I’m waiting for Mary to bring down some clothes to return back to my place. I’m gonna pick up a winter coat because it’s supposed to hit in the 30s overnight for the next

few days starting on Tuesday. Will Mary and I did indeed go back to my place in Melbourne. We spent a couple hours at least going through the piles that were kind of building up in corners of my room of clothes that

I didn’t know what to do with. Figured out which ones to put in shirt, museum, and which ones to bring back to the Dorchester, etc. It was quite a job that we did. we did a pretty good job. It needed to be

done that’s for absolute certain. It’s hard to believe how many clothes I didn’t want and I didn’t wear at all. I do always say that, but it is true! After that job got done, we drove back to her place and

brought the clothes back. Some were donated as well. I did order a new hangers

to be delivered at Mary’s place. I then took the car out too the Hertz drop off place at 30th St., Station. I dropped the keys off. It’s so much easier to drop it off the night before then to drive down Chestnut

Street with the car during morning rush-hour. So glad I finally Started to do that. I think came back to my place. Had a bunch of pasta and then watched us send a Democrats caved into the Republicans and agreed to end the government shut down. There’s going to

be a whole bunch of static on TikTok and social media. In fact they’re already is. They basically gotta“pinky promise” to vote on ACA subsidies, which

are Republicans are totally against. Then again it’s easier to be a Republican because you don’t give a fuck about any anybody else except yourself. Must be nice. 🙄🙄

Sunday, November 10: Mom’s 95th Birthday

Today we woke up at the hotel and decided we’d go to Frank’s delicate testing for our delicious diner food experience. This

places sort of an icon of Asbury Park. We went there before and we enjoyed the food. It’s well priced and the food is very delicious.

It’s got that old school service that you remember. Anyhow we ate there and then we had a little bit of time before 11 o’clock to wander around the boardwalk

of Asbury Park, which was fun. It was a nice day out. It was a little warmer than we expected, but it was still pretty cool. We got a lot of pictures in. That was

really nice and enjoyed ourselves. We then hopped on the road with our Google maps anddrove via 195 route one I 95 and then I 476. just got to Delaware County and to the Media/ Swathmore

exit of the blue route. As you know, the blue root is interstate 476. I remember when that opened in 1991. It was a huge deal in the mainline times about the blue

roof they delayed the opening because neighbors didn’t want to go through
their nice neighborhoods. you just can’t plow a highway through

Upper middle class neighborhoods without a problem. Anyhow, we arrived on time about 4️⃣ minutes

early. We found a parking spot very easily. We got there before Alice, Marguerite, Wes, and one from the Kelly clan

of course. Anyhow, we had a room to ourselves that just had enough seats and enough room for all of us there. We had hors d’oeuvres or salad whatever you wanted. And then decided to have a chicken cheesesteak. I knew

after that I wasn’t gonna eat any more food except maybe a yogurt when I got home. Anyhow, we all ate caught up with each other and then the big rolling out of the birthday cake moment

came and my mom was in very good spirits and seemed to
really enjoy yourself. We then posed for pictures and that was fun. I’d have a whole bunch of pictures probably

too many to fill this blog. Anyhow afterwards, Wes, Mary and I left together and Wes transferred a whole bunch of ICs from his trunk to my trunk. It was a very easy exchange. It’s very

hard to get together with Wes exchange the super Coffee sale was missed because they didn’t have my flavor. we said her goodbyes and Alice confirmed that she would be doing Hot Yoga with

us at 4 PM. I probably have to leave work a little bit early so I get there early enough to meet Allison and get her orientation done for the class. Anyhow, we drove

back to Mary’s. We couldn’t find a parking spot so I parked temporarily in front of the Dorchester to unpack
get a change of clothes and hang out

for a minute. We told the guys/attendance about that we’d be up for a half hour and that was really nice of them

to let us do that cause there was absolutely no parking anywhere near the

Dorchester/Rittenhouse Square. I then left with the car and the

parking meter was faulty and I took a bunch of video of that to make sure in case I got a ticket   could easily contest it. And then went
home. Did laundry, relaxed, and had two yogurts and a couple juicy season watch the Eagles completed demolish the Cowboys 34 to 6. people saying the Cowboys

are bad but they could beat anybody but it’s great that Dallas is

sucking and downstairs near last place for the Giants who lost to the Carolina

Panthers. Also, the Washington commanders/Commies

lost to Pittsburgh by one point so I think we’re tied for first place with the Washington commanders right now.
